And good morning all.
I slept so good last night. Mrs E said she doesnt think I moved at all. After the gym Monday, re-stacking somewhere around 4k-5k pounds of
batteries, then three hours on the ball fields, I couldnt imagine why I slept so well. Im just glad I didnt do arms at the gym Monday, because that would have made the batteries painful.... Oh wait... I did, and it was. Oh well! We'll call it a workout
supplement!
Not all that much planned on after work today. I have to stop by the hair cutter folks and get my hair did. When my hair gets poofy, it gets curly, and I dont do curly. Then its hurry home to get Kat from volleyball practice, rush home to get Melanie and CJ, take them to the gym with me while Mrs E takes Kat to "Sunday" school. Yep. The fun never stops!
Mrs E finally got to Melanie's game after watching Kat's volleyball game. Between innings I asked how she did. Apparently, Kat never got the chance to play. The coach put in her starting six, then made no substitutions for the whole game. That means the starting six played the ENTIRE time. I've never seen a game where there were no substitutions.
I heard from Kat's travel ball coach yesterday. He's planning on holding a practice Friday. I dont know if he's going to be there or not, but he made it sound like he was. He said he's doing much better already, spent a little time sitting up in a chair yesterday. The fractured vertebrae were compression fractures, which is a good thing. It means that the chances of recovery are better. He said that when he first got there, he couldnt feel his feet, which is why they were saying he may not ever walk again. But after the swelling around his spine subsided, he regained full sensation. The punctured lung was repaired, and there really isnt anything they can do for broken ribs. The "severe" head trauma we were told about was exaggerated. He did sustain a concussion, but his helmet did it's job and saved his life. Kat is really looking forward to getting back on the field and putting a bat back in her hands.
*yawn* That nap was not long enough. I got all my chores done for the day early so I sat on the couch and before I knew it, it an hour and a half later.
If you had given a chore/s to your teenage child and they don't do a good job even after telling them how to do it correctly, would you make them re do it?
HA! I do that to my pre-teen and my non-teen kids! It's all about teaching them that if they're going to do something, no matter what it is, they need to do it right.
Well, apparently someone thinks that I complain way too much. Great, that's just great!j
*walks away complaining*
Must be a woman thing.
