Afternoon folks.

Wow. I can get an antique plate for my Accord. Weird.

Well, I've been stuck on the couch since Wednesday. I decided to hurt my back at the gym Wednesday morning. Doing an exercise I've done dozens of times. I've had to turn down two nights of umpiring because of it, and postpone our move. I'm ok sitting or laying down. I just can't stand or walk. Blech. Oh, and no motorcycle time either. Which really sucks because we're having our last little bit of gorgeous weather right now.

No new news on the job search. It just seems like nothing is available that pays what I need that's remotely close to what I'm interested in, or have any experience with.

I had to go to parent teacher conferences this morning. None of them said anything we didn't already know. The kids are crazy smart, but can't focus, can't stay still, can't stay quiet. Yep. Sounds about normal to me.

Well, time for me to play Iron Chef with dinner. The mystery ingredient is chicken. I have no idea what I'm going to do with it or what's going to be served beside it. Oh joy!

I'll check back in when I get a minute again. Miss y'all!!!

One minute I was sitting here on the computer and then next I was waking up on the couch. I vaguely remember getting my blanket out and laying down. Of course, Morgan is sound asleep on the couch too. Alex had most of his chores done but "wanted me to rest" so he didn't wake me up to help himm clean out the fridge. That was quite nice of him thinking he idi it on his own. Nope, he didn't. I'm not even gonna bother getting the kids to do the rest of the chores. I am not up to doing mine either. We'll pick it back up tomorrow. Going to go fix something for me to eat. I'm thinking something light.

Good afternoon! Hope everyone is having a great day! I got home from work a bit early today because one of my appointments was a no show. I ran by Target to pick up meds and ended up buying a couple of shirts that were on sale. I'm trying to build up a bit of long sleeve shirts for winter because I have none that fit me. All the ones from last year are way too big and the ones that do fit are short sleeved.

Hubby and I are talking to each other about how and when we're going to tell Alex about the vocational rehab work assessment stuff that starts in a couple of weeks. It's 8 days total over two weeks time and lasts pretty much most of the day. I know we're going to make sure he understands that this is not optional and that we are not opposed to looking into group homes if he gives us a difficult time about it and doesn't go. I know, physically make him go. Hubby will be fishing with his uncle for the first three days of the class and Alex is about twice my size now. I just can't pass up this opportunity. He just got some new clothes but will have to go get a few more things like khakis and such it is supposed to be "nice casual".

Other than that there isn't much going on. The kids and I are going to clean out the fridge in a little bit. Fun stuff.

Grocery day here. Actually several errands too. Alex wants to go by Game Stop and sell his xbox. He doesn't use it anymore and he is saving up for the new game console that is about $300. Make a short trip to Ollies for kcups. Then Walmart for the groceries but we're taking both kids and Alex is getting his groceries while we're there. I am not going to rush through the store so Alex can quickly get back home. As a matter of fact, I'll take my time.

Good grief. I thought we'd never get home. Even with Alex buying his own groceries my grocery bill was still almost $200. Make that $185....I bought a pair of shoes and mascara. Alex got his hair cut while we were out and it looks soooo much better. Hubby got a few things from Gander Mtn for hunting and fishing hence the reason I bought myself a pair of shoes. We stopped by Wendy's and got some lunch on the way home. I'm stuffed and didn't eat but about half my salad. Now it's time to do some house chores. Morgan is of course in trouble again. That kid is going to be in trouble at home until she's 21 at this rate. She took it well and only asked for about 5 things at the store today, none of which she got. I wouldn't let her get any junk food, sweet food/desserts, or soda. She didn't get the mascara she asked for or the body spray she wanted. She didn't get the shirt she found or the candy bar at check out. Nada.

Time to go do some chores. Gonna try to get them done quickly so I can sit back down and do nothing.

Afternoon all.

I can move today! Not house, move. But I can actually get up and walk. Not that I'm doing anything... It's football day!

The weather is supposed to turn nasty this evening and stay nasty through Wednesday. That means Monday will be nothing but gym and tv. Tuesday, my mom wants me to take her to the gun range so she can find something she's comfortable shooting. I'm trying to steer her away from a revolver, but if that's what she's comfortable with, I'm all for it. She's also scheduled both of us for the CWP course next week.

We're hoping to finish up packing/moving by the end of the month, but my dad is dragging his as.....um....feet...getting his house ready for us. So we're kind of in a holding pattern until he gets his backside in gear.

Yep. That's about it. Just laying here killing the day waiting on the Panthers to start their game. I'm hoping they can end up with a 6-0 record this week!!!
