I had 2 driving issues yesterday that made me paranoid. Going to work, a block from my house, turning left onto a semi busy road, I almost got T boned by a black SUV that was driving with no headlights in pouring rain in the dark! Scared the bejeebers out of me! I totally did NOT see it!

Coming home, a HUGE pickup tried to shove over into me and we had a "mirror incident". Lotsa traffic, part of the road where left lane HAS to turn left, I'm in the right lane to go straight. Truck did not try to move to the right until the last second. I was enjoying some french fries, oblivious until their side mirror thumped my Jeep! Folded my mirror back when I pulled forward and away from them. ...??? No damage to either of us, just folded mirrors on both sides. Plus, I got some marks on my doors from the plastic rubbing off their mirror.

Why are people such idiots??? <sigh>

People are getting more inconsiderate every day. blech. Glad you are okay, but how scary!

Lasagna was great.

Mr. V went out to check that all the girls were safely in the coop and was missing one chicken. He found her in the duck pond, which is at 37F. She's alive, but so freaking cold. I dried her off as best I can, and now she's in a little carrier in front of the electric fireplace. I hope she makes it.

I got home last evening and my rooster was dead. Looks like the other seen his collar and took it off His neck was bald. He's been wearing the collar for 7 months now without any problems. I've adjusted it regularly. A replacement will be hard to find and costly. GRRRRR

That stinks. Do you have a local FB page where people post birds? We always have roosters posted here. Might be worth a look.

One dry and very clean chicken went back to the flock today. *whew* It was one of my tolbunt polish, Miss Candy.

Holy cow! It was 75F here yesterday, supposed to hit 76F today. I feel for ya FV!

And OMG!! I actually won something (sorta) twice! I "won" 2x SX Mini G class mods by participating in a "waffle" (raffle) on FB!!! I will keep one and give one to Ian! I played 2 spots on each, so both cost me a grand total of $44!! Currently waiting on 2 sets of new batteries for them.

I keep looking out the front window here at work, and am loving the view. There was an old run-down strip motel and cabins across the street. It was mostly rented to guys that were convicted predators but part was turned into "labs". It's been quite scary for the past year. Anyhoo, fires kept breaking out there, and today the city took it all down. So watching the guy level the dirt is nice. Really nice. No more piles of garbage, no more needles on the ground all over, no more nasty pit bull that bit a number of people. Just dirt.
