I wish you were closer. It's weird not having anyone over. I'd thaw a second duck for sure. We have plenty.

All three work for me. 
I'm making pumpkin pie and a rum cake. I don't need two deserts, but I couldn't decide which one I wanted more. I'm sure we'll eat them.
The grrrstore was nuts. People were pushy and rude. blech. I did think of punkin when I saw the industrial size Jamesons though. That made me smile.

Baked an apple pie. Buttered and cut bread chopped onion. Prep work done. Everything should go together easy tomorrow.

I have done zero prep except yesterday I managed to hide some home baked bread to use for my dressing. I'll get an early start so that everything is ready on time. Sure wish the kids could make it, but one of the horses is on a every 6:00 and 12:00 medication schedule. They'd have about an hour here at the most, so it's silly to ask them to make the drive. Darn critters.
Critters first. I know ours kept us from many functions.

And the propane ran out in the middle of my pie. Luckily we have a little tank that's full so Mr. V hooked that up. Now I have no clue when my pie will be done.

Dinner was good. My pie turned out nicely. And I had a glass of wine with dinner. Just finishing up the dishes. That's the part that stinks with the dishwasher not hooked up yet. blech.
