I spent my morning grooming my moms dogs and going through 3 boxes of clothes she is getting rid of. I have plenty of warm weather clothes but not much for cooler weather. That should be remedied now. Lots and lots of jeans one size down from what I am now because once I get to goal they should fit. Got a fair amount of cooler weather clothes too. After that she had me and my sister going through old boxes of momentos from when we were kids. I brought a few things home so that the kids can laugh about it in a few years. After leaving there I headed to Walmart to pick up the rest of Morgan's school supplies and a few odd and ends to hold us over until Friday when I normally get groceries. Now laundry is going and I'm sitting for a few before I get up and attack something else.

Hope everyones Sunday is going well!

Mornin' all.

All my screws for the motorcycle came in Saturday. So, my bike is now back together and in once piece. Now I get to hunt down some miscellaneous various body parts to try to pretty her up a little bit. Maybe an LED taillight with integrated turn signals. And a flasher module for the brake light. So the brake light strobes a few times then is steady on when you hit the brakes. I got behind a guy that had them, and they are definitely an attention grabber. And since it's a sport bike, I cant have all the running lights that you see on larger cruisers, anything that increases the chances of being seen is a good thing to have.

Melanie's first practice didnt really happen. We never did get in touch with the coach. We had to call the Rec Dept to find out what field and time their practice was going to be held. And naturally, we got there, and no one else did. So, I worked with Melanie a little bit then we went back home.

Kat did well in her practice yesterday. Her batting is getting better, and her pitching is improving. She's still no where near the level of the other pitchers in this age group, but she can at least get the ball across the plate. And Melanie did good during her batting lesson, and continued to behave for the remainder of Kat's practice. CJ however.... not so much. The field has an above ground drainage area from a building close by. It's like a little tiny stream that crosses the path from parking lot to field. CJ had been told many times to walk around. He didnt. His shoe got stuck in the mud. So he got sat down and had to stay there until Kat's practice was done (Because he didnt listen, not really for the mud. He's a boy. I expect things like that to happen). As we were packing up and getting ready to leave, he decided to pick up hickory nuts and pelt Melanie with them. So, even though I told them to behave and I would stop by QT to get them milkshakes, he didnt. He was all tears when Kat, Mel, and I walked out with milkshakes and he didnt get one. Other people were looking at me like I was the a**hole. :D I did breakdown and let him have a few bites. Of course I did.

Went to go visit my dad and let the kids swim for a little while.

Yep. That was my weekend!

Now, I'm just waiting for the forecast to say less of a chance of rain so I can do more motorcycling. The temps are staying in the upper 80's all week!!!!

Time to get some work done! I hope you all have a great day!!!

Ready for some football? YES Hall of fame game now on.
Yes I am. Unfortunately, we have so much going on right now, I didnt get a chance to watch any of it. :glare:

Good morning late. One of the guys are retiring after 20 years of Rat Race. Pressure-cooking pulled pork. Trial run of 3 lbs to see if the rub spices need adjusted. If good I'll do another 4 lbs. Will 7 lbs be enough for 12 people. Also doing 5 lbs of wings, Don't know what the other 6 are bringing. I also got a 1/2 sheet cake. Thinking that could be overkill.

James, your weekends always sound way busier than during the week.
No, we're just as busy throughout the week. But its all the same. Work. Softball. Work. Gym. Work. Gym. Work. Softball. Work. Gym. Mrs E's week is always Housework. Work. Housework. Work. Housework. Work. Housework. Housework. Housework. Work. She might throw in a Gym or Softball in there for good measure.

One of these days, we'll be able to enjoy a weekend. It just wont be anytime soon.

"Overkill" is always subject to perception. If everyone gets fed, and you have enough to take back home for a few days, that's not overkill. If you take so much home that it can't be eaten before it starts to go bad, then that's overkill. At least, that's my definition of it. I always cook too much just to make sure I can have leftovers.
