So how was everyone's day? I was super slow moving at work today so it took me twice as long to do four dogs as it usually does. Probably had something to do with the three times Alex called me, and the 50 text messages I got. My sil started at group text to lets us all know that my inlaws were in a wreck (but they have checked out at the er and are doing fine, just sore). So every time someone responded to a text then the whole group got it. You can imagine 7 people texting everyone at the same time.

Then my sister texted me a few times telling me granny is still in the hospital but hopefully coming home tomorrow. When I called granny Monday night she sounded horrible. It sounded like she may have a stomach virus but she sounded so weak. She made me promise not to call my mom and tell her. She's so afraid she is going to be a burden that she doesn't ask for help until it's to a point the the er is necessary. She does it every time. Needless to say I called my mom immediately and told her granny sounded pretty bad. My mom lives closer to her so went over there and ended up having to take her to the er. They admitted her and still not sure what the problem is but she seems to be doing lots better. I'll go up tomorrow and probably need to clean her house too. Just have to wait and see if she gets discharged.

Other than that nothing special here. Hubby and I are going on another mini vacation alone next month with raffle he won at work. Free nice hotel, free steak dinners, and free passes to several attractions downtown. I'm now on the countdown again. It really is great to get away on our own and just be a couple alone without having to be mom and dad at the same time.

Better get up and get something done around here.

According to Morgan (and what I've seen online while looking at hairstyles) gray hair is "in". She told me this yesterday by saying that (I was cool with my hair color since gray is popular right now. Thanks. I think. Young girls are actually coloring their hair gray on purpose.

Mmmmmmm....cappuccino flavored slimfast shake, monster java light ( I was really bad today because I had two of these), water, cantaloupe and frozen fruit bar. My stomach was on the fritz yesterday so still not real hungry. I drank most of my calories today.

I think I'm done with my funky hair color phase. That red a couple of years ago looked more orange the longer it was there. I'm all natural right now for the first time in years. In that time period I have gone quite gray especially on the sides of my head. I'm torn over whether I should get highlights and lowlights done or just leave it alone.

I would like to have my nose pierced but that will never, never, ever do it. Hubby would be verrrrry upset and he's quite a calm laid back guy. My mom told me the other day that she wants one. I don't think it's such a good idea. She's 60 and I don't think people that age go get their nose pierced. I'm sure there have been people her age that laready had one but never heard of getting one for the first time. And of course Morgan asked for one too. That was a big fat no from hubby.

Are you sure they aren't distant cousins? I've seen a few here in town that look quite a bit like you. :D
You might be right. They are probably from the old country. They are everywhere! They sure were a "horn"-ey bunch. :2cool:

I actually finished all of the stuff on today's to do list and I haven't been home but about an hour. I went to grannys early this morning to clean and bathe the dogs and do some laundry. I finished there and called granny in her hospital room. She said they were discharging her so I went on over to the hospital to get her. It took a good 4 hours to be discharged. While we waited for all the paperwork to be finished and blood work to come back we sat there and talked our heads off. The lady on the other side of the curtain would frequently pipe in on our conversation. When we left I ran to drop off her prescriptions and headed to her house. Got her settled in and came on home. My mom is going over later today. Granny is doing much better! I'm tired but did manage to do some of my house work as well. I put the kids to work too. Morgan's done with her stuff. Alex is still dragging it.
