Hey Drott, I have three broody ducks. One scovy, one Welsh, and one of the gimpy Cayugas. I have to go in there and pull all chicken and scovy eggs from under them, they aren't fertile by any chance. No clue on the others so we'll let them set for a bit then candle.

I got a new rx for my glasses again. I was just in there less than a year ago and my rx has already changed. After that Morgan and I splurged and went and got a double doozie cookie from the Great American Cookie Co. Yummmm!!

Good afternoon!

That's sad about the dry incubation Drott, I've never tried it. Last night I tried to candle eggs under broodys, but that poor scovy was so distraught at the idea of my touching her eggs that I couldn't do it. She sounded like she was crying. Poor baby. I didn't know they could make a noise like that! Tonight I'll have Mr. V bribe her out with mealworms so I can candle her kids. And remove the duds. Then we're running over to the camper for the night, it has air, the hut does not.

Nope, we do passive cooling. The hut is under trees, we have super deep overhangs. All windows have shades. We have a fan system that pushes cool basement air up to the main floor. We open up at night for the cool breezes, then close up in the morning. So it doesn't get awful unless someone forgets to shut it all up before leaving in the morning. Like today.
