Congrats!! My neighbor had a beagle, boy could that little guy howl! He would serenade the firehouse siren whenever it went off!


I also hate pink, and the cats would eat fluffy.

Raggy is a piggy when he eats. He gobbles so fast, I'm afraid he's going to actually inhale his food! I had bought one of those "puzzle bowls" (sorta looks like a maze) for Xena, but she refused to eat out of it. She eventually slowed down, at least until Raggy got here. Wow, it worked SUPER well for Raggy tonight! He was still working on getting all the kibble out and both cats and Xena got to eat without him trying to steal their food!

Who is Raggy and when did you get him?

I tried not to say anything about Miss Poppy Poopy Pants...but she's adorable and makes me miss my granddaughters even more. :/

Mine are Morrigan ("Duck") and Riley ("Roo"). Ok, I need to get my .... to North Carolina ASAP.

Yes you should. I'm only 2 hours away and I should get there more often but sometimes life gets in the way.Cute names by the way..

Back from the vet over here. The lump between his eyes needs to come out. It is not just a cyst. argh. The others seem to be nothing. No radius for me this month, or next month.

Why yes it does. I'm now questioning why they need to knock him out and do surgery to remove one teeny lump. It's the size of 1/4 of a pea. I'm calling a different vet to see if they can't just numb the area and take it out. He'll sit there nicely for it.

Well, freaking fall is here. On the way home from work, stopped at the store, when I started the car back up, the engine light came on. Got home and turned on the computer, it sounded like there was a HUGE angry hornet in the hard drive.

Actually, I'm right with you on the luck thing Bamrz. Cut my left arm open at work today, I didn't realize how bad I was bleeding until the sleeve of my flannel was soaked. yuck. Tonight I was working on a salad for the wedding tomorrow and dropped my knife. I jumped back as fast as I could, but it got my left hand on the way down. Lots of pressure and two big band aids later I finished. Mr. V is doing the dishes, there is no way I'm sticking my hand in soapy water. I'm going to look like Edwina Scissorhands tomorrow.

We are having some cooler weather (at least, what passes for beginning of fall weather here) finally, so I'm making some shepherd's pie. Been getting into the 50's at night, high today of 72 and cloudy and intermittent sprinkles. That's close enough after the summer heat to inspire some comfort food.

Potatoes are cooked, mashed, and set aside.
