Well, freaking fall is here. :( On the way home from work, stopped at the store, when I started the car back up, the engine light came on. Got home and turned on the computer, it sounded like there was a HUGE angry hornet in the hard drive.

Every year about this time. Never. Freaking. Fails. :nah:
I don't like any of that...

Actually, I'm right with you on the luck thing Bamrz. Cut my left arm open at work today, I didn't realize how bad I was bleeding until the sleeve of my flannel was soaked. yuck. Tonight I was working on a salad for the wedding tomorrow and dropped my knife. I jumped back as fast as I could, but it got my left hand on the way down. Lots of pressure and two big band aids later I finished. Mr. V is doing the dishes, there is no way I'm sticking my hand in soapy water. I'm going to look like Edwina Scissorhands tomorrow.
Back away from the table and put the knife down..

Good afternoon!

I'm practicing before I go: "I will not kill the bride, I will not glare at the bride, I will not slap the groom upside the head, I will be polite to everyone and smile."

Time to arrange my dreads and get ready to go. *sigh*
Hahaha..Sounds like it's going to be a fun evening,,LOL

We are having some cooler weather (at least, what passes for beginning of fall weather here) finally, so I'm making some shepherd's pie. Been getting into the 50's at night, high today of 72 and cloudy and intermittent sprinkles. That's close enough after the summer heat to inspire some comfort food.

Potatoes are cooked, mashed, and set aside.
That sounds good. Maybe I'll make that for dnner this week if I can find a Shepherd...

Good morning and happy Monday!

There was no bloodshed, glaring, or other nonsense last night. I behaved very nicely. My niece, her hubby, and their 4 kids were there to keep me occupied and smiling. :)

Sonny was a nervous wreck, but he did great. Our new DIL didn't notice us until the receiving line, then was so shocked to see us. Like we weren't going to be there? Then she avoided us like the plague the rest of the evening. Sonny was out and about in the hall, thanking everyone and making sure everyone had what they needed. She never mingled with her guests, choosing to hang out with her gf's in a different room. Still don't know what he's thinking, but okay. As I don't have a choice in the matter, I'll just keep trying to be nice.

We're supposed to have 3 days in the 70's here, so as soon as we get home we have outside stuff to do. The duck run roof is still not done. oops.

I didn't take anything out for dinner. Darn it all. Might have to stop at the grrrstore on the way home.

Still have 2 boards to put in mine. Put together a prefab shed this weekend. Went way better after hubby left. Should be cleaning the coop but too sore stiff. Did get the nest boxes cleaned though. Got lucky started cleaning them got to the point of putting in the new litter. Got distracted and forgot to close the nest box door. An hour or so later they were still in the coop. Thank goodness. I'm in no shape to be chasing chicks, ducks around.:lol:

I wish we could live happily ever after once our kids get married. I don't remember signing on for kids spouses...What paragraph was that? Then comes the Grandkids....I don't remember signing that paragraph either. I also don't remember the part where it said you will worry from the day the kids are born until the day you die...Who would sign that? I think it must be in Latin in invisible ink. I would NOT have signed up....
I wasn't home so I didn't build anything..I probably wouldn't have if I had been home. Mr Crabbypants decluttered the basement. I hate when he does that..He throws stuff away that I would never remember that was down there.
Forget to thaw out dinner?..One word..Omelets..I know you have eggs..
Gorgeous day here in Nevernear. All windows open southern breeze and it could go on this way forever.

Stretchy, had anyone told me of this kind of thing, we would not have signed up either. blech to all of it.

Mr. V votes for a trip to Pizza Ranch tonight. I'm good with that. No clean up. :D

It's not like going to Golden Corral, but it's not bad either.

Good morning!
Hmm, I haven't been to Golden Corral in a long time. I should take a ride down to MD, and if it's not still there I can stop at the Texas Roadhouse on the way back. :)

Good actually the BEST October morning ever. I'm beginning to worry. The weather here is so unusually good.I've had my windows open 3 nights in a row. No complaints just an observation. My roses are still blooming...
It was awesome here today! I think the radio said it was 86 degrees right after 2pm! :w00t:

If you go to Golden Corral, you must dip something unusual in the chocolate fountain. Stretchy dared Mr. V to dip chicken. He did it of course, and ate it.
