I made taco soup last week. Leftovers for Alex tonight, tater tot casserole. Morgan is at my moms. Hubvy and I had date night. We ate at a Vietnamese restaurant and ate pho for the first time. I liked it, hubby didn't. We ordered egg rolls as an appetizer. Smallest eggrolls ever, like maybe 3 inches long. Two small bites. Apparently I was using the chopsticks wrong. I had them upside down and using both hands to twirl them to wrap the noodles around them. The waiter saw me and brought over a fork and said maybe this will help. [emoji23]

Off to watch a FB live video on a group I'm in. It's called Lipstick, Margaritas, and Hairspray and she talks a lot about nothing but is really funny and in a way motivating. Every morning at 8 and every Tuesday at 9.

The first time I went on a business trip to Japan I had to learn how to use chopsticks. I did know which end to use and only with one hand. ;) I looked around at other tables to see how they were using them and most everyone was doing it a little different. One guy was holding a bowl of rice in one hand up to his mouth and using the chopsticks like a shovel as he sucked/inhaled the rice into his mouth. Someone was watching me trying to use mine and they were laughing their .... off. I'm glad I gave them some enjoyment in their day. :) I thought I was getting pretty good at it when a local said, "Anyone can use those cheap square wooden ones but here try these new shiny round ones! Let me know when you can pickup a pea, a grain of rice, and an ice cube." I said, OK, I'll keep practicing and kept the nice chopsticks as a souvenir. Now I know why they like sticky rice...

How cool is it to actually use chopsticks in Japan!

I'm pretty sure Zeus is deaf. We're connecting the dots and we it seems that way. How strange is that? A stray shows up, I'm a sucker and let him in, and I'm losing my hearing too.

Happy Wednesday!

I so want to keep him but hubby says we can't. He's getting neutered on the 12th. We took him for a rabies shot and general exam. Bought him a crate. But we are looking for a good home for him. I'm going to be picky though. I've connected with a nice lady locally that does a lot of volunteer work for local rescues and she is helping me try to find a good home. Seems like my house is like the home for special needs. Between the kids, me, my poodle is almost blind from age, and now a deaf dog. Apollo is just plain nuts and Ruger needs to be in therapy for his hoarding issue [emoji38]. It's a wonder hubby even comes home from work. [emoji23] Hubby said he'd start teaching Zeus hand commands and use the same ones to communicate with me. I gave him the middle finger and told him to be sure to know that hand signal. Good afternoon!

I used to be pretty darn good with chopsticks. I'll have to get them out and see if I can still handle them. Come to think of it, that might be a good diet plan for me.

Chilly and gloomy in hutsville, blech.

You know it was a good day when the sun was out the breeze was warm and in the stillness your little blue parrot sang all of Take Me Out To The Ballgame with a Brooklyn accent.Good Times..
I love this! Liking it just wasn't enough.

For us all. I'd virtually starve to death.
