Im looking very closely into makint my own Liquid, I made my own beer years ago when I was an Alcoholic. So why shouldn't I do this?

For instance as an Excercise I would like to compare the price between a Vendor's 30ml bottle of TY4, at $15, and the cost to produce at least 30ml of your own Liquid. Caveat, if its cheaper to make 150mls of the RY4 and then get the 30ml bottle out of that, that would be perfect too.

I saw how easy it was to adjust the liquids in any direction with ejuicemeup.

DIY is the way to go for sure. I estimate it costs me about $2 or $3 for a 30 ml bottle of juice. Premixed ejuice is the highest marked and over priced thing you can buy when vaping. I still have to admit when I go through spell of not liking my flavors, I will still sample some juices to give myself ideas on what else to DIY, but I have a really hard time spending $20 for a 30 ml bottle of premixed. It's like a sin to me now that I know how cheap it is to really make it.

Also, it took me 6 months of vaping to finally DIY. I was scared for some reason. It's super easy and so much better and more satisfying knowing you have a ton of stuff available and you don't have to worry about ordering juices and spending way too much for them. I hated the stress of worrying about whether I would run out of juice, etc. sheesh. I got so much stuff to make enough juice to last me months. The extracts are so cheap and I love trying out new flavors easily when I'm bored :)

I just did the MATH on a Recipe from eJuice Me Up, the RY4 Recipe and a 30ml bottle worked out to be $1.79!!!

But With my calculations I was buying BULK. Liters of VG and PG. One Liter of 60mg Nicotine Base.

Some of the flavoring I took from the larger sizes like $14 for 4 Ounce Loranns Oils. 300ml of English Toffee came in at $59.99 - must be some special stuff.

So after everything was said and done it came out to be roughly $1.79. Man that is damn cheap. Just wish I had the money to throw down on some DIY Good and Proper! Get like a Gallon of Both VG and PG, large quantities of the base materials that will be used all the time.

The Grand Total of all the precursor for my RY4 startup is $239.91; granted that $133.97 of that are materials that will be used for other DIY. The kicker was the Price for 300mls of English Toffee, $60 - SERIOUS? BLEH!

You guys talked me into it; I'm scared.

I also hate waiting for shipping and checking out the delivery status every couple hours. Time to be a mad vape scientist, wish me luck.

I just got my things today and started this evening, it's really very easy. And a lot of fun! Just make sure to wear gloves and face gear when working with high-nic solutions, you don't want that in your eyes or on your skin.

There are nine 3 ml bottles aging themselves on my office shelf. Not that I could resist trying some, but they really do need to steep a bit.

An off-the-cuff calc using high-volume pre-mixed purchase gave me $0.39 per ml for a flavor I like. Figuring I could make something I liked (I already did, actually), DIY would be $0.11 per ml for the same nic level.

Or, 28% the cost.

I got my son his first DIY supplies for like $30 from OneStopDIYShop last Christmas. They had at that time like a 5 pack sample of 6 mls of flavors for really cheap. Right now they have a 5 pack of 30 ml bottles of flavor extracts for $21. That's alot considering it takes about 4 mls of flavor to make a 30 ml bottle! I previously stated it cost me about $2 or $3 to make a 30 ml bottle of juice. but honestly I figured it was more like $2 but guessed high. lol. Anyhow, last Christmas I got my son some stuff from them and for $30 he had enough to make maybe 6 or 7 30 ml bottles of juice. Now if you have the time you can shop around and I usually get my nic and flavors from different sites in bulk, but DIY is way cheaper no matter how you get it. When I got my friend vaping she kept coming over to get some juice and would run out so I told her she was going to have to make her own then. I told her the recipe and she sat at my dining room table and her hands were shaking! It was really funny. LOL. After the first time she was all set and on her own and doing great! :)

Cheap, yep I just can't pass it up. Sounds like I will be checking out that One Stop DIY place just to get started on the cheap.

So if you, or I, think about it $1.79 for 30mls, for me at may be 4mls a day. Looks at just a little less than 24 cents per day.

Now compare that to the poor .......s who are on that Pre Pay Plan for the Cartomizers?

I bought small bottles of everything. By the time I got a decent recipe figured out I have to order again. But it's hard to know which flavors are going to be good...just like juice. I have three versions of caramel and one is dead on, the other two will work in a pinch hopefully. Like making your own beer or growing, uh, shrubs, it's very gratifying to DIY.

Yea, like oxygen thief says, it takes some practicing with the flavors. Lately I've bought different vanilla flavors like vanilla bean ice cream, vanilla swirl, bavarian cream, french vanilla. I'm finding they are sort of nice to mess with and can add just a tad bit of strawberry or grape or many other flavors to give it a nice change to it. There's also alot of recipes online if you google for them that you can try out.

You can also get great prices on DIY at Wizard Labs (wizardlabs.us) I think they may be even less expensive.
To save myself a little mixing, I buy their nic with pg/vg already in it. It doesn't cost much - 250 ml of 36 mg
with 80/20 pg/vg is about $16. Most of their flavorings are $1.49 for 8 mls - I think they're 8 mls.

Good luck if you go this route. Just remember to start with LESS flavoring than you think you will need, and
add more later if you need to. Another rule is to steep. Steep, steep, steep. Especially tobacco flavors. They
are not EVEN the same in two or three weeks, so be careful about adding more flavoring if they don't taste
right to begin with. IF they taste perfumey - you probably added too much tobacco flavor and steeping will
help.

I've ordered from both WL and osdiys. WL is a little cheaper but One Stop has more flavors. Flavor Art flavors are cheaper elsewhere though. Ecig I think it was but I stuck with those 2 sites for now. Already got like 200 worth of DIY stuff in the mail after ordering 600 bucks of juices from about 10 sites, lol. I should turn my RV into a mobile Vape Shop or an Ice Cream Man for e juice lol.

Actually I take that back. I also have an order of tasty pull on the way too. Haha, I've lost my mind apparently.

That is good to have backup juices while you are learning to DIY. It takes a while to get it down.
