I just figured up all my costs and will have a year in on Dec 1. So far I have saved 50% over what I would have spent on cigs. My equip will last for well over a year. Once I got the provari seems like I have almost quit spending. Partial Diy and rebuildables are the way to go. It's going to be quite awhile before I need anything more.

Cost is a bit higher when getting started but after your set up with things that work for you the cost will drop way way down. And just think what a stay in the hospital for cancer would cost........

Once you quit chasing the shiney hardware upgrades and juice flavors, it gets inexpensive.

Definitely more costly in the beginning while you figure out what works for you. Every aspect seems to have a learning curve (device, juice, atomizer/cartomizer, etc). After two years of vaping my costs have decreased dramatically. Good luck!

Savings? What's that? My "hobby" costs more than I spent on smoking and I was a 4 pack a day smoker.

One poster a couple of pages back mentioned a steep learning curve- I totally agree. I have so much stuff in my vaping caboodle (yes I use a caboodle for it all! Lol) that I don't even know how to use. I have juice that I hate. I have different kinds of cartos clearos attys and some work, some don't. HOWEVER, after three months, I am about to break even, and aside from the $150 I have in a cart right now between my two fave stores, I am pretty set. An extra batt here and there, juice, and clearos and I am all good. So now that I know what I like and what I don't like, I figure vaping will cost me a buck or two a day from here on out. Smokes cost almost $8 in Illinois. If you get through the first couple of months of growing pains, and as long as you don't become a hobbyist, you will see the savings. Big time.

This vaping costs me 1/4th what the analogs did........... OH and my wife totally supports it regardless of the cost...........

Cost saving are undeniable. Even with a $180 mod, 5 tanks ($30), 5 liquids ($40), and $10 charger. $260 sounds like a lot, but considering 2 packs/day analogs costs over $350, the choice is simple. Paid for itself in less than a month. Assuming I go through a 30 mL bottle in a week, which I do not, the cost is $8 per week in stead of the $77 for analogs. Consider it an investment with almost guaranteed astronomical returns! Not to mention the health benefits!

It took me 6 months to break even, but I experimented with everything. What I ended up settling in with: Provari w/Nova's at home, KGO and 2.0 ohm Boge cartos at work and on the go. Juice: about 50/50 purchased and DIY. I'm $350 up as of today and gaining every month now. Cartos and Nova heads are cheap, as is DIY supplies.

a year and a half into it, ive save about 2k. it took me 6 months to break even, after that i found what works for me. i was a 2 pad smoker and i use about 6 ml's of juice a day. you could ask her if she would be happier if you went back to smoking...

it takes a while to find what you "need", after that it will settle down....unless you pull a hairball.
