recently got tested for insurance. Monday vaped (12mg/.15 Ohm @35W) like a crazy person after a nice dinner of pulled pork and lager. Finished with a couple snifters of whiskey.
Next day no vaping, ate well and kept up the usual beer and whiskey regimen. Same for the rest of the week. Saturday morning had the bloodletting. Got the letter 3 weeks later:

Continine level: Undetectable

So, four days, lots of beer and whiskey.

I did this type of testing, too -- just for the info.

Was not happy that it took at least 10 days. After the disappointment that it wasn't clear after a week, I stopped doing the test daily, so it was either 11 or 12.

I kept to normal routines and didn't particularly try to flush the system with liquids and Cranberry, which should make the time shorter. (or whiskey & beer!:))

I'm quite interested in your results DC2 and am very glad you included your mg and ml per day and years vaping.

In case anyone wants to do a chart (should enough other's report in) here's my data:

I had reduced my mg to 6 for about a year and my ml were about 4 ml per day when I went to zero and did the testing. Mouth to lung vaping style.

And I'll add my further info...

I'm a dedicated dripper using 2.3 ohm 510 atomizers on Twist and Spinners.
And we're talking less than 2ml per day of 12mg here.

I can't believe how long this is taking.
But I'm clearly using my equipment effectively.

Well, DC, you are getting enough that the test thinks you smoked recently.

I recently read of another who passed after 5 days. Heck, for these youngin's it might even be less. Someone earlier mentioned metabolism, which could be loosely interpreted as age. ;)

Wonder what my Doc would say if I said I was going to do a beer and whiskey diet to clean out my liver and purify my urine sample?

Isn't the average suppose to be somewhere around 7 days before you start testing negative?
Don't beat yourself up, keep testing and I'm sure somewhere in the 7-10 day range you'll finally get the results your after.

There's a lot of factors that go into stuff like this. Weight, metabolism, how frequently you're urinating.. One person could pee clean in a week while it might take the next guy a month. It's an age-old and virtually unanswerable question, which you can tell by typing, "how long does it take for n" in Google. Without completing the question, the first suggested result will be "how long does it take for nicotine to get out of your system."

You just described every medical test ever made, of course all humans are different.

Okay, so then you have the answer for your question -- "isn't the average supposed to be.."

Why did you post the question if you knew the answer?
It was more of a rhetorical question, and the point was more about reassurance than anything else.
But thanks for coming out and posting the obvious medical facts, we seem to have more and more MDs around here everyday.

Ask an obvious question, get an obvious answer. Might wanna look up the definition of rhetorical.
Didn't know you were the resident MD on that night, my apologizes had I known I'd stay clear of the vaping ER, Mr Mushroom. I guess you're bored these days with the lack of Diacetyl threads on the forum.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised. Most people who come here now are pretty wise to the unknowns surrounding diketones, and it's becoming far more standardized to provide 3rd party test results. I realize you might think that's a bad thing or something, but uh. Y'know. Progress.

Also, if it was a rhetorical question (or you were being reassuring or whatever) you could've easily said what I said, the obvious facts, which up until then nobody had really stated in the thread.

You're a pretty bad troll.

Unfortunately I know of a few cases where people tested positive for upwards of 3 weeks. Here, where I live, and most of the surrounding states, you can not get a job in the medical field if you are a nicotine user due to strict no-nic hiring practices (and that is just one industry who now has this hiring policy). Those nicotine users who were already employed when this policy went into effect were frozen into their current position, no transfers or advancement and pay much higher health insurance premiums.

What a load of crap, eh? Yes, my friend was getting a job as a medical coder at a hospital and it was a strict no nic policy for hire.
It is so crazy how intrusive the industry is now.

Some Cranberry Juices you buy also include Pear Juice.

For Taste, I actually like the Juice "Cocktails" better than 100% Pure Cranberry Juice.
Okay, I love orange juice, nothing added, does that count?
For me, this all makes me seriously doubt the conventional notion that you're essentially free of nicotine addiction in 72 hours (see WhyQuit.com). Whenever I managed to go cold turkey off smokes, it always seemed like it was about a month for the chemical difficulties to go. I now know that, for me, any new nicotine level takes me about a month to get comfortable with. In any case, YMMV.
You went cold turkey that long? Honestly, I never made it past day two, and that's stretching it. I desperately, desperately want to quit but couldn't.
The morning of Day 6 test results are still positive.
This is starting to make me unhappy.
:(

I only bought 10 tests.
I may need to order more right away.
Damned you. I have money down for day seven. You better be negative tomorrow or you owe me. :grr:
Dude, I live in California, and none of my coworkers use nicotine.

On breaks you can find them all at Starbucks.
Sucking down as much caffeine as their budgets permit.
;)
Plenty of cig smokers up here, want some? Free shipping. :)

How did we ever survive in the days without all that social media.
I remember playing baseball, riding dirt tracks, jumping off bridges, and never using a helmet.

Yeah, how DID we ever survive?

Drat, missed a page. Okay, what is it just for the beer diet? That's right up my alley.
