Could e-cigs help poeople who are overweight? ..... I ask this because i have seen so many people on this forum talk about only wanting the food flavor cats .... So im thinking because smoking is a habbit just like eating to much for some ... I wonder what would happen if you gave a chocaholic an e-cig with a MARS bar taste!!!!! Would a couple of draws on a NIC FREE CART stop her going to the sweet box ....Hmm Just a thought..

This is a very good point, and I'm convinced my e-cig has kept me from gaining weight. I hardly eat anything, but don't exercise either, so I'm not losing weight. But I'm not gaining either. When I tried to stop smoking before the e-cig, my substitute was food, and of course I gained weight. The e-cig definitely is a food substitute for me and now I have a lot of flavorings to experiment with. Picture Snoopy dancing with happy feet. Exercise? I take that back. I am getting some exercise!

I have read studies that Scent can effect appatite, So I would think certain kinds of flavors would have an effect.
One study said that people who LOOKED at certain foods, their body would react to just the sight, as if getting ready for it to be injested, if this was supported with a flavor or scent, I can see it having an effect in some way.
Just dont use Hemp flavor, that may give you uncontrolable Munchies :D

Check out some bodybuilder forums and you'll find they use NICOTINE to lose weight. Nicotine boosts metabolism, elevates heart rate and blood pressure and kills appetite. A faster metabolism burns more calories. Eat the same, with your metabolism higher, and weight loss results. That's what bodybuilders want. Keep the muscle; get ride of the mass.

Non-nic cartridges would not enjoy that physical advantage but might have some psychological impact.

But a puff of vapor is no substitute for a Mars bar, no matter the flavor. And Sanneke is right that a lot of the weight gain associated with quitting smoking is due to substituting food for smokes. But food also begins to taste better. And the end of the meal is not rushed to have a cigarette, so even more food is eaten.

E-smoking nicotine will certainly help the ex-cig smoker avoid weight gain.

You guys ever see that movie The Machinist with Christian Bale? He lost 63 pounds in a few months for that movie and looked like a POW.

His diet as low-fat lattes, apples, and cigarettes.

Not that I'd recommend that...just wanted to point out the nicotine factor.

yeah hes got a real passion for his art..him in the prestige now that's a performance !

Doh.. I suggest you DONT use that as a selling point, lol. You are probably causing more damage to your body by not eating, then the tobacco was causing before.
