I think I'm crazy and in love with my e-cig. I'm sitting here in San Diego, California, and bam, a 6.9 earthquake shakes the whole county up. Instead of getting my lil yorkies and me out the door in case of aftershocks, I panicked and ran and pulled my charger and battery out of the wall, grabbed my storage box and then i got my pups. Is that crazy or what? so there i am out in my yard vapin away when a 4.5 aftershock hits. a few minutes later, a 4.1. i even left my purse in the house -- just standin out there with my box of e-liquids. when my brains came back, i meandered over to my gas line. everything's okay -- except for me. I think I'm crazy.

ROTF! Can't say I did that one...

That quake was something though, scared the mess out of folks over here.

For sure. And you are even closer to the epicenter than me. For the aftershocks, every dog in the neighborhood was barking each time. That was clue enough there was one coming. Wonder if the surfers got knocked off their boards?

Is the ecig ok? lol I completely understand. Nice story really. Didn't even realize there was an earthquake until my cousin told me about it.

We were 20 people all sitting down and having Easter dinner at the time.
It was interesting, but nothing more, since we have all lived here for most of our lives.

Just a bit of shaking, not even enough to cause anyone to get out of their chairs.
On the other hand, I feel for those folks down in Mexico who were closer to the action.

I felt the quake while I was sitting here at the computer. But I didn't know it was an earthquake until my wife told me. Here in L.A. there was no noise like there usually is. It was quiet and it felt like rolling. I thought my body was moving all by itself and there was something wrong with me. I didn't see anything else move around me. If the earthquake hit closer to home then I would have known what it was and I would be out the door with my ecig in hand as well.

My wife lived with her family in Northridge during that quake.
I was living in San Diego at the time.

That quake was about the only quake I ever felt where I got out of bed.
I stood in the doorway of my bathroom.
I was about 100 miles away.

As for her and her family, they all ran screaming into the hallway.
And they all slept in the hall the rest of the night.

For the next few weeks there were moving vans seen throughout the San Fernando Valley.

Well, they were brave to sleep in the hall that night. I would have been out on the lawn in a pup tent.

Since you're also from SD -- I worked (for 12 yrs) in the skyscraper across the street from the Santa Fe Train Depot where the trolley stops. It is still awarded year after year as the city's safest building -- for both EQs and fires. My office was on the 25th floor. The massive thing is built on rollers. So during an EQ, it rolls back and forth. OMG, that is the most hideous feeling i've ever had in my life. And those were just the minor quakes. And of course, the elevators shut down, so you're trapped until the fire dept. comes and inspects and lets you out. So, NEVER get in an elevator when you have to pee. :D And make sure you have your PV with you so you can blast them with Atomic Cinn. when they open the doors.
