NOT HAPPY....... I went to order some NLV and a few other things from another vendor and my Visa was declined at both vendors.... I contacted my bank and they checked it out....they said that starting JAN.1 I could order no nicotine products over the internet with a Visa card......and this was put into effect by Visa.....they were hit with this issue and are investigating and don't know if this is just Oklahoma and New Mexico or nationwide....

Anybody else having this issue?.......

Update...... I called Visa Corporate and they offered no information at all and set up a conference call with my bank (Bank of Oklahoma) which put me back to where I started....just getting the run-around......nobody has offered any information.....all I know is I cannot order vape supplies with my Visa card today at two vendors I have ordered from for a long time....

This is not a fluke or a gimmick....it is real (at least in Oklahoma)......

I'm not a happy camper......

I want to know if this is Visa doing it or the banks. IE: When the money is mine and I'm not asking for credit of any kind by using a prepaid or debit Visa will they still stop the sale? Pay Pal did it so its within the realm of possibilities. If this is the case, there's Discover and Mastercard to name a couple.

Edit: And if its MY money, they dam well better cite the law granting them this measure.. Banking Commission, etc... or its tantamount to freezing my funds without cause... not a stretch in this Nanny/Big Brother environment.

OP here: I just tried another transaction at MadVapes and the same thing happened. Spoke to my bank…allegedly it's MasterCard initiated. Of course, there's no documentation of anything.

THIS IS BS!!!! This is still America. I sent this link to TheBlaze - Breaking news and opinion. Maybe something will come of that. Fascists.

This is scary for sure. The chatter is definitely going around groups and the web today, so this isn't an isolated issue. As far as how far it stretches and who's instituting this new regulations, it looks like everyone is getting the run around ATM.

Hi StormFinch-- what new rules are you talking about?

New rules went into effect for credit card issuers on Jan. 1st. I can't find them though, so couldn't tell you what they contain and whether or not this particular "rule" is coming from the Feds or not. The timing does seem suspicious, and I have found reports that this is happening on both Visa and Mastercard transactions, so all in all it makes me wonder. I did however find something stating that although there are new rules for gift cards as well, those won't go into effect until August of this year.
