Travel and Vaping Cruise ship passengers & ecigs!

Hi Everyone,

I haven't posted in a few days. I received my e-cig in the mail from Vapors etc. had it in two days. I haven't really been able to try it out.
I live across the street from the beach at the Jersey Shore and I have a house full of family till Friday. I plan to start using the e-cig on Saturday.

I took a few drags on it when I received it and it seemed really harsh on my throat. I have been smoking Carlton Menthols and they are like air, all my friends ask me why I bother. I orderd the e-juice with 0 nicotine, but I'm wondering if I would do better with an all VG juice.

I was going to order some from VaporBomb, they have a few flavors I'm interested in, but I don't know anything about them. Does anyone know if they use USA made ingredients? Has anyone ordered from them?

Well THERE it is!!! Cute, cute .. 2 days smoke free, 2 days in vaping heaven .. hooray! Funny how simple it is to make the switch to ecigs isnt it? Where were these things years ago?, I would have been vaping for many many years by now, instead of smoking those analog cigs. I prefer vaping to analogs, havenot had one single desire for a real cig since I took my first ecig drag .. I will never get over how amazing satisfying vaping is, love it!

This is great, we are going on a cruise in November and I was wondering what the rules were for smoking onboard, but now that I've got my E-ciggs (1 week now) there should be no problem, so the trip will be enjoyable instead of stressful. Another plus for vaping!

Hi SLR, congratulations and welcome to the wonderful world of vaping! Using the ecig on a cruise will be great, and the plus side is all the places you can use it where you couldnt smoke before

Yesterday DH had an eye appt and I was sitting in the main store .. vaping. I keep my PV around my neck, in a lanyard type of case that I made myself. When I wanted to vape I would just slide the mouthpiece end upwards a little and vape. The light on the end didnt show because I kept that part still inside the lanyard .. sweet That's how I'll be vaping on the airplanes too, using the lanyards I made but only pulling my PV out of the lanyard enough so the mouthpiece is exposed.

Hi Gayle, it could be harsh because it's a tobacco flavor. You might want to think about ordering some of vaporsetc fruit flavors, those are not harsh at all and they taste just like the fruit they are named after. Even myself, who started out with high nic marlboro flavor switched over to all of the fruits and non-tobacco flavors 10 days ago and they're all great and dont have that harsh taste.

For instance the pina colada flavor that vaporsetc has .. tastes just like a pina colada and has no tobacco harshness to it .. same with his coconut juice.

You might want to try his strawberry, it's mild and doesnt have any tobacco harshness in it's taste. I got the raspberry from Ross this week, yummy!!! Another one of my favorites is his peppermint which tastes just like an altoids, it's a lovely crisp airy feeling in your mouth with no harshness at all.

Today I have 3 coming from him that I've never tried before .. chocolate, pineapple and coffee. I've got 3 blank cartos sitting here, just waiting to load them up and try those 3 .. will report back, if I can stop vaping long enough to type LOL. My poor mailman, I think he's getting tired of me attacking him when his truck pulls up to my mailbox

My DH is a smoker who's also "trying to quit" but he just won't try to vape. He IS cutting down, but here's my problem (and I NEVER thought of this happening to me!) The smell of his cigarettes is making me sick! I never EVER want to be one of those people (and you KNOW the kind I'm talking about!) so I haven't mentioned it to him, but...what do I DO? We'll be in the car together this afternoon, going to eye appointments, and I KNOW he's going to light up! I don't ever want to be a nag, but I literally felt nauseous, and the smell is still lingering in the house an hour after he left! HALP!!

hahaha crazy how it works isnt it? I'm the exact same way and yet I smoked for 40+ yrs! I have over 10 cartons of marlboro's in the guest room closet plus I keep finding packs of marlboro's everywhere .. in my travel tote bag, in purses etc. I have ZERO desire for one of those things and it's been that way since I took my first "drag" on my ecig, 1 month ago today!

I've avoided being around anyone who smokes for the past 4 weeks, but that's about to change when we go to Europe in 2 weeks and are on 2 back-to-back cruises. What I plan to do is try to remember how it was when I was a smoker and how I didnt want to hear anyone say "that stinks" .. or "do you realize you are killing yourself with those cancer sticks".

I'm going to also try to remember how I didnt want to hear anyone telling me I should quit .. because I had no intention of quitting, ever! I didnt even intend to quit when I ordered and got my first ecig kit .. I only ordered it so I could say "well there's another thing I did to try to quit but it didnt work". What a shocker it was when I vaped the first time .. loved it from then on and love it more today!

Anyway, if I were you I'd think about remaining quiet and not telling your husband it bothers you .. he wont appreciate hearing that and he may get indignant about it and hold out even longer about trying an ecig .. just to be stubborn. I know I get that way sometimes, many people do.

Have you tried the peppermint juice from vaporsetc yet .. it's great. I havent tried the fuzzy navel yet, mostly because I've never liked peaches, but then I dont like raspberries either but did get the raspberry liquid and love it! I'm anxious to hear how you like the 3 juices you are getting. As for the hazelnut mocha coffee, that is my permanent morning vape .. love it!

Once you have 15 posts then you can put the banner in your signature area, which will appear, after 15 posts, on the left hand column under the heading User CP (stands for user control panel). The "signature" option will not appear under your User CP until after you have the 15 posts.

Then you can click on my signature or anyone else's that you like and it will take you to a website where you can create your own signature. Then you will copy the html code from that website, that they will give you, and you paste that into the signature on ECF, under your User CP area.

I havent been on a cruise but was talking with someone yesterday who said that some cruise ship there is no smoking anywhere.. even on deck outside. crazy how times change.

UPDATE!!

I'm freaking thrilled! DH has agreed to try vaping!!!!!!!!!! *faint* He gets paid tuesday, and has given me permission to order him a 901, and all the supporting equipment!! He said the fact that I haven't had an analog in 3 days just impresses the pants off of him. He knows I enjoyed smoking, was a chain smoker, no less, and just stopped cold blew his mind. I did confess that his smoking is making me ill, but in a way that assured him that I was in no way nagging him, or telling him to stop smoking. He asked if I wanted him to go outside, and I said no way in heck was I making him go outside at his own house.

He had just gotten home from a doctors apt, and apparently something the doc told him got through, and he knows he needs to quit. (He is having circulation problems in his legs. Doc said his smoking might be a cause).

He asked me if we could be done smoking by December and the cruise, and I laughed. "Honey", I said, "You'll be done smoking the second you take your first vapor hit."

Just wanted to share my joy!
