I was looking at the swaps and classified forum and someone is selling a whole bunch of capellas flavoring.. several bottles of vanilla custard. ($2.93 each shipped, if anyone is interested) anyway, someone else posted that custard flavors were bad for your health if vaped.. Since Capella vanilla custard is a favorite here.. has anyone else heard this?

I was just wondering what the again was referring to????? If it was related to e-liquid?????

*****EDIT*****
just found this Capella Flavor Drops for e-liquid Use (DIY). Our Flavors are Food Grade Flavorings , and are DIACETYL FREE......Looks like they must just not like it?????

Personally, I have decided not to inhale the "custard" flavors from any flavor company. This is what Perfumers Apprentice says about their vanilla custard flavoring.

Vanilla Custard

water soluble

a rich, buttery custard flavor. stronger than our bavarian cream (which has no "Custard" Notes).

*** contains both "Custard" ingredients (acetoin and acetyl propionyl) -

Please see our information section on these ingredients in the Flavorist Corner (lower left of the screen)

****** This flavor should only be used in Food and Cosmetic applications.
****** This flavor (no matter what company makes it) has inhalation risks if it contains either Acetoin or Acetyl Propionyl!

Ingredients: Natural & Artificial Flavors, Propylene Glycol, a small amount of Ethyl Alcohol

You can read additional info they post about custard flavors here: The Flavorist Workshop

FIY, the post warning about custard flavors that the op was talking about was removed by a moderator.

Wow couldn't imagine they would do that:shock:!!!!! Would elaborate my feelings of some mods being biased but i guess i already said to much!!!!! Thats a whole new thread and i am not here to ruffle any feathers.....

Capellas Vanilla Custard has Diactyl in it, if you want PM me and I can send you information for a lab to test it yourself.. The cost is around $100.00 for testing :)
Edit, it did when I had it tested 11-22-10

I did see the test kits but $100 Ughhh.....As far as i have found i should be good, normally vape menthol or tobacco not much sweet..... Capella Flavor Drops for e-Liquid (DIY) use might help????? Would like to see results of a retest if things have changed or are they falsifying info?????

Thank you for taking the initiative and sharing (and spending the money I can't yet)! I'm glad I don't use Capella.

Perfumer's Apprentice is also very well supported here on the forum. They said, and this is a direct quote from their website concerning custard flavors,
"This flavor (no matter what company makes it) has inhalation risks if it contains either Acetoin or Acetyl Propionyl!"
I am going to email them tomorrow and see if they could elaborate further.
