Custom carts

I was wondering as I sit here vaping, how far have people gone in their diy refilling? As I am a very technically oriented person, within 2 weeks of using an ecig I was refilling my own carts. Then came replacing the polyfill, first with actual polyfill, now with emptied tea bag material. How hard would it be to make my own cartomizers? I figure the hardest thing to find/make would be the threaded battery connector. Aside from that, all that remains are some uncoated wire, varying thickness and width aluminum tube, and some plastic caps, plus filler..

Anyone tried recreating a kr808d-1 cartomizer around the thinner diameter of a m401 scale?

Or created a blank cartridge & cup using longer lasting materials than plastic, say coated aluminum tube artfully capped?

Of course no one would ever sell these, because you would only ever buy 1 or 2..

You might want to check out the Modder section. There are folks experimenting with making atomizer coils and some great photos showing the inner workings.

The ECF Library might have a rebuilding article... Remember seeing it and I took some notes, but cannot remember where it was off the top of my head.

I have never heard of someone creating their own cartomizer but hey, if you think you have an idea, go for it.
