The main reason I chose the provari over the Darwin was the arm. I use carto tanks and from what I understand the arm cant be folded down (to cut it off) with a tank on it. It also looked to be a little less...durable. plus, I already had the batts that the provari uses. I'm sure its a really great device..I just didn't think it would fit my vaping style. I needed something I could throw in my purse and not worry about.

This is why I chose the provari..that and the fact that I've never actually seen a Darwin in stock.

I was in the same boat a while ago and opted for the Provari. While I thought the electronics on the Darwin seemed pretty cool, the swingarm seemed a bit wonky (to me) and I didn't think it would work well for me as a tank user. I also like being able to throw a few charged batteries in the overnight bag for uninterrupted vaping. Have had my Provari for a couple of months now and have zero regrets - it is a fine PV.

I looked at the Darwin but didn't care for the design or the fact that it has a built-in battery instead of a user replaceable one. I didn't like the arm or the boxy shape.

The Provari is sleek, well made, and it reliably delivers the voltage displayed to the atomizer. I also like the personal attention that the people at ProVape give their customers and I like the idea of stateside service. That means the Provari isn't an expensive throwaway device. It's more like something that you can use for years and have it repaired reasonably if it does break. Another thing I like is the affordable upgrade program that lets you send in your Provari for new electronics when another version comes out.

It took me a long time to decide to spend the money, but after using mine for a while, I'd buy it again without second thoughts.

I agree with DaveP. I have a bias against any device that doesn't have a user replaceable battery. I cringe at the thought of having to eventually send off a device to have someone else replace my battery. Now if they come out with a Darwin MKII that addresses the previously mentioned issues, then I'll pick one up.

I used to have a bias with non replaceable batteries, but the Darwin is holding out with no problems after 7 months so far, with the last version with blue screen/3 positionable arm swings. (not sure what the new version is at now)

It took me awhile to get used to the arm, because initially when I first saw it, thought it sucks due to having to use adapters for tanks and non removable batteries, I have to do the samething for certain tanks with the Provari as well with having to use adapters.

Both companies selling the Darwin or Provari are top notch which ever way you choose.

Agree with some posters here... with availabilities, the Darwin has a long wait time, where as the Provari is readily available.

When I use tanks on a Darwin, I just leave it "on" position, and the drainage on the batteries is not noticable as one would think.

I can use the Darwin as a passthru while recharging, Provari when the bats die, insert a fresh charged battery.

In long term usages, you save on battery purchases with using a Darwin, since its internal. Even with lith-ion batteries for PV's, they last quite awhile before they tend to die off for good...

Dial vs Button... both good in their own ways, no flaws either way.

It just comes down to availabilities.

Provari is almost always in stock, and the Darwin not in stock due to Evolv producing other products on the market.

So i am into my vaping journey and so far i have had an ego battery, a few box mods and a silver bullet. Now i wanna go to the crem de la crem. Can anyone help and tell me which mod would be better? If the Darwin when or where could i pick one up? Thanks :pop:

If you have a Silver Bullet, and the Darwin is appealing to you, why not Kick your SB? Same "smarts" as the Darwin for $50.

Well, you know the Darwin is $245.00 out of stock, so look at the money your saving....lol
I don't have a Provari but I want one bad ! I have a Chrome Lava Tube but I want a Chrome Provari v2 with the amp increase and more voltage range. And add the 18650 extended end cap so you can use 18490's and the 18650's batterys !
$227.85 Chrome with 1-18650 and 1-18490 and the extension cap for the 18650 battery so, really the price is close with some needed batteries and stuff as the Darwin.
Good luck in your vaping product. In any way you go it's so much better than SMOKING CIGARETTES !!!!!!!

Best Wishes........

I do have a quick question for you provari user's. What is your favorite tank or atty or whatever to use on top of the best pv on the market?? I plan on getting one very soon so I'm trying to get ready for the big day.

Can get a Arry 3 or 4 if you want a carto tank. Can also use a ce2 in the 4 but cant see the juice. Untitled Document

Can get a Penelope here if you want the Iatty rebuildable. It uses wick and wire. The GG - USA, Canada, Mexico only

If you want a Genesis type you can get one here pretty soon. Jim is waiting on the Kanthal and it will be up on the site in a couple days. e-vape.gr

My personal fave.... Pro-V Cartomator SS - Vaperfexion

Currently out of stock but he should have another batch in July. They were made specifically for the Provari.
