Good to see Danno do a Vid. He mentioned part way through, that GV suggested a 2.5ohm (I think) factory head to be put out because it would be better for lower volt devices like eGo batts, and such. This raises an interesting thought and questions.

I, for the longest time, always favored Boge 2.0 carto's for how well they vaped with a standard Ego batt. Any higher Ohm's, and flavor/TH took a nose dive (on an Ego). When I tried the Phoenix Xl's (2.4-2.6) I was AMAZED at the TH and Flavor from a higher Ohm device? I am a dedicated Phoenix user from that point on. Whats up? Theoretically These Phoenix's should not be this good on an Ego, at this Ohm range, IMO. For me, if I crank up a Phoenix to 4 volts, it gets a burnt taste, right away.

So are these new "smok Titans" acting like a Phoenix in this respect? The rule of thumb is: Lower Ohm's=Lower Voltage devices..

The Vivi Nova's 2.5, which I love also, act according to the "Rules"...meaning the 2.4ohms, work great at 4.0-4.3 volts, but loose TH and Flavor very quickly at 3.7 and below...

These Phoenix's are a sweet mystery too me...Will the "Titans" be the same?

if you think that's a mystery, throw anything on a Gripper and most of the rules get thrown right out the door

I meant it would cause less burning issues out of the box for higher volt 3.7-4.2's but still work well for the eGo & especially with eGo Twist where you can tweaky tweak your V - yet you can get 2.0ohm heads for it...

By the way the SMOKtech breaks in EXTREMELY nice...works great out of the box and really starts to shine on your second day of use...

In the video I stated the cup in the airtube supporting the wick and coil was either plastic or ceramic. SMOKtech said it was ceramic.

Also, I stated the top and bottoms were of aluminum but they are actually chrome plated copper. A chrome plated copper is a heavily decorated veteran of your local police force...

good to know thank you sir.
Personally I have a minor concerns with chrome plated copper... Once upon a time when they had the giantomizers i had a couple the gold showed through the chrome in the base of the tank and after sitting a long time the juice turned funky green color.... :(

okay, I am still trying to figure out this ohm voltage vs ohm thing...the light bulb just will not go off. I am using 2.4 vivi on a twist at around 4.2. I am trying to figure out on this titan...the included 2.5 head would be comparable..but if I got a replacement stem at 2.0, would my voltage need to go up or down? Sorry to be a noobie here but my old brain just is not grasping this.

Use an Ohm's Law calculator such as the one found on Ohm's Law Calculator ... you are looking to find out what wattage you are looking for.

and how do I know what wattage I want...math was my poorest subject..lol. I believe I heard that most peoples sweet spot was around 8 watts...so at 4 volts and a 2.0 ohm head.....4x4/2=8 is that what you mean?

Simple... You learn what voltage you like on a particular ohm carto/clearo then do the math to see what the wattage is...

... your math was correct btw

If I am understanding this correctly, the replacement stem for the titan at 2.0 would be okay on the twist. I want to get at least one and the order of 2.5 stems is not here yet.

and thanks rd, I appreciate all your help. I think the light bulb is on!! lol It is funny sometimes how the simplest things can confuse you and then when you get it you go DUH!
