great...surprised me because i went into that section of the store looking for ecig useful things and there it was laying on top of a bin..and the only one i found..but 2 yards is ALOT of cheesecloth when your only cutting off small sections...I still have 2 whole bluefoam filters and 2/3rds of another one from when cart modding was the thing not too long ago really.

If my fingers still worked good enough to wrap coils and make my own wicks, I'd be trying it out. Wouldn't have to be boiled to remove sizing that's in yardage.
 I already have 17 miles of silica wick that I got on a dealy so I'll be using dat before I use anything else  ( I'm hiding it from the cat cuz she'll play with any kind of string  )

 We used to have a cat that if you said the word "string" he went on the hunt for one to make you play with him. Didn't have a hoodie, sweat pant or any other piece of clothing in the house that had a pull cord that he didn't steal the string out of and come back dragging it. :D

I don't really have a horse in this race, but wonder why you folks don't just buy a roll of cotton gauze thats used for bandages?
Seems like that would be the easiest, cleanest solution in a suitable size for making wicks.

manO'man ....what a "ziploc/sliced bread" thought ...duh !! so easy
I have several packets of that stuff the dentist gives ya' after surgery ....
I still can't like the NO dry burning deal ...but I would guess one might ...
be able to remove icky wick/dryburn coil & replace wick :glare: or just start over ...
hmmmm IDK ...guess I gotta play w/it to see, but not yet my original wick is still rockin'

oh & Dead Easy Cream Cheese <easy cheese cloth use yummmmm

Sounds great bad...got mine wicking much better now without modding it, by opening up the threaded wicks that hang in the tank and loosening up the wicks near the coil. Just prodded at it a bit with an Xacto drillbit to separate the wick into more individual strands. 1 full tank down without priming! Although if you hold it upside down now you do get some coming through the holes..not a big problem for how I vape it though.
Gotta grab one of these new designs when they drop

Finally! Figured out hiw to make a perfect coil, the size wick i need and how to put it into the SRT without doubling up the legs or getting hot legs!

I did 10 wraps of 32 guage to get 2.6 ohm, used the smallest screw driver out of a micro driver set.

While keeping the screw driver in, i placed the coil in between the posts and just wrapped the post tight so the coil was right next to it, touching, did the same on the other side, but kept slight pressure on the screw driver so it stayed in line with the wick holes. Also lifted it up slightly so it was level. Wrapped the wire tight and gently tightened the post screws.

Used the screw driver to center the coil so it wasnt touching the posts. Pulled out the screw driver and the coil was perfectly straight.

Used a 1"x2" piece of cheese cloth rolled up length wise and threaded it in. Put the wick in the wick holes and waited about 5 min for saturation.

This thing is finally working exactly as i want, so happy not having to have to double up the legs that was a PITA.
