So which 2380s do you guys have? I know dems has the T, Telescope one.

How about the rest of you? Telescope or separate-tubes?

The Telescope was all out of stock when I wanted to order, but in any case I had already figured I'd prefer separate tubes because it involves carrying around less metal when I want a given mode - I'm not going to swtich from 1 to 2 18650s or 18650 to smaller battery anywhere other than home, so I figured it was one less thing to go wrong.

Though maybe the telescope is beautifully engineered and I made a mistake to have a load of tubes hanging around to get lost? Can the telescope literally go from 1x18350 up to 2x18650, or does it still have some replacement pieces?

my replacement (if they have any stock by the time the v2 gets back to them) is the non-T for the same reason you posted. I like the idea of lots of extra tubies to play with!! Just trying to figure out what the best 18490/500 and 18350s are...new world to me!!

Yeah I've never looked at anything besides an 18650. To be honest I didn't even realise until today that I could use them in the Dicodes - all I've been looking at is the TC :)

So what's the advantage of putting in an 18350 or 500? Just size/weight?

I just checked the short manual and it seems I stack 2 x 18350 to have more volts than 1 x 18650 but at only 5mm longer?

But hang on, I also saw this:
(2x 18650 is possible by using a separately offered extension tube)

WTH? I can't do 2x18650 without spending yet more money??

now what do you need 80W for! You are turning into a UK version of twisted40 lol!!!! Did you see his review of the snow wolf 200W thing...bloody hell. Total nutter!

I almost certainly don't need 80W :) But I might want more than 40W, at least for testing. Dammit I paid FIVE VF CLONEs for this, I want it to drop on its knees and damn well.. shine my shoes ;)

I fully realise it was my own damn fault not researching it properly re the second tube. But in my defence, the second tube required for 18650 is mentioned nowhere on the two vendors I looked and only in one line on the Short Manual.

Now I look more closely on Greek mods I see right at the bottom it says "1 x Dicodes 2380 with all cases for operation 18350/18500/18650 / 2x18350 and 2x18500" which doesn't list 2x18650, but you have to look closely right at the bottom to notice that, and it still doesn't specifically say an extra piece is required and available.

Dicodes do have the second tube listed as an accessory, ecig do not (they don't sell it yet.)

I'm just ...... because if I realised I would have bought it at the same time. Now I either need to wait for ECig to stock it, if they plan to, or pay another shipping/wait from Greek. Unless shipping is free even on a €20 item from Greek, but then it'll be slow. Grr.

Besides which I also think it's cheap not to include it as standard on a mod this expensive.

Maybe I can ask them to put it in with your 2380 Steve and pop up to get it :)

I also would like to mention that the spring loaded 510 on the 2380 has a very stiff spring. This is the strongest spring in any 510 connection I've seen. Stronger than vaporshark, yihi, fatdaddy and varitube.

Thanks for the heads up - makes sense as they're going to ensure it has as little effect as possible on resistance. Do you find it hard to screw things down? Resistance issues aside, would you prefer it to be softer: ie if they could have given the same good connection with a softer spring, would that be better?

Bloke, the Telescope version comes with multiple tubes too, one is just a telescope tube. I don't even use it for 350/500 (although, you can use it for 500 and have just a single tube). I use it for 650 (you can use it by itself with a mild scope effect) with the smallest of the other 3 tubes and it looks like the press photos, two tubes equal length on either side of a small tube.

Every atty I put on it screws down flush without issue, I wouldn't worry about it. It's supposedly a pretty slick spring setup under the hood.

So do you think the Telescope version comes with all the same tubes as the non-T, plus a telescope? Or the telescope is in place of a couple of the non-T tubes?

I assume the latter else I don't see why the T wouldn't cost more.

Anyway I have ordered the extra tube for 2x650 from Greek. And to comfort myself for having to spend more money, I have spent more money. I got an Elprinz tank a well, the baby Erlkoningenenengen.

Was only £28, seemed pretty good value for an authentic RTA - albeit a made-in-China one. Apparently most Erklonginnnnnnnnnggg accessories fit it, and therefore presumably (some of) the clone accessories as well, so it might be quite flexible.

Though of all the attys to get soon after the 2380, a 21mm is perhaps least appropriate. I did consider the Squape, but despite my spending spree I'm not quite ready to spend £80+ on an atty! Besides which I've not even tried my clone yet ('Triangle Window'). Plus Greek's only comes with one deck and you have to spend yet more to get the other decks (maybe that's standard, dunno, I thought they usually came with at least three?)

The Proteus is the Imeo thing that's been talked about since 2013? Has he added TC to it then? Will it be on a par with the Dicodes, TCR adjustments etc?[/QUOTE

I think it is and he is still putting it off again and again. I called it vaporware but maybe thats a bit harsh (although appropriate). I check every now and again and its always next week, next month...I guess we will see!

It doesn't come with all the same tubes, I believe the Tele takes the place of another tube. One plus, with the Tele you don't need to buy an extra tube for 2 x 650 mode, you can do that out of the box ;)

You can?? The stacking tube says it's for the "2380/T". You've tried it and it works?

So that's a yes, then? :)

What is shown on screen during a live TC vape? I assume it live updates the temperature, does it also live update the ohms and watts?

The manual suggests it might not live update the resistance because it says "at end of vape" but it also says "including temperature dependent increase", so not clear if that just means you see the ending resistance of the coil, or if it updates all throughout. I assume the former, which isn't the best but is better than nothing - at least it means you can see the end resistance so you can tell how much the coil rose by as a result of being heated to temperature X (assuming the temperature display is also the end temp.)
