My wife uses my ego and smokes analogs occasionally. She's a pack every 3 months kind of smoker though. But everytime she does it... i get kinda grossed out by the smell. It really drives me nuts now when she smokes in the one of the cars as the smell seems to linger. I used to think it only smelled when people left the butts in the car, boy was i wrong.

I was looking at the nicknacks in a 2nd hand shop last night and this (sort of rude) couple literally came up behind me and stood close enough to me to brush my arms and body with their huge poofy jackets. so I put down what I was looking at (a large incense holder that I was thinking about using to hold my juice bottles) they picked up my incense holder and put it in their cart. I wasn't going to buy it but it was pretty rude. They STANK like cigarettes. I mean they emanated potent cigarette smoke like they had been chain smoking in a small car for hours. The entire isle filled up with this horrible stench. It was disgusting, stale, potent smoke.

I felt bad when I was a smoker, trying to help people find what they were looking for back when I was a floor salesperson... Now I know exactly how my poor non-smoker managers and customers felt when I had just came in or just got off of break. Gross.

I do miss my room having that smoke smell though. The girls I'd bring over always seemed to like the smell. It was DANGEROUS I guess. :p Now it smells like strawberries and caramel popcorn -____-

I am a nurse who works on a tobacco free campus. I have patients who like to sneak in analogs and smoke in the shower, trying to hide the odor. I have become over sensitive to smoke, and now cannot stand the smell. It literally nauseates me. I am ashamed I ever smoked, but I am not ashamed that I vape. I know that sounds hypocritical but I don't smell like the bottom of a stale ashcan anymore. For that, I am grateful.

I can now smell cigarettes at about 30ft, and it's not a good scent. Holy cow is it a strong smell.

It's recently gotten cool enough for me to wear a jacket. It had been in the closet since last year, but it stunk quite badly. It faded after just a few hours outside, but yes, I used to smell like that. eww.

On the flip side, a few smokers have noticed the scent of my vapor. My daily vape is a carmel/coffee blend, and it's been described to me as smelling of maple syrup.

Be glad you didn't smoke cigars. Much worse. When I smoked pipes it was not so bad but I didn't have the patients for it. Spent too much time keeping the damn thing lit. I use to go to the smoking area to vape to talk with friends now i vape half way there. LOL
Now I see why X smokers are so outspoken about the habit. LOL

Yes! I opened the coat closet the other day and was like blech. Stale year old smoke smell like, embedded in the coats. I think I have to get them all dry cleaned.

The best thing for me is my hair no longer reeks. I have super long hair and you're not supposed to wash your hair every day but I had to because I'd wake up from the smell of my own hair. Now, it always smells great. I haven't broken the habit of washing it every day though haha

I'm also a big fan of being able to vape in the bar all night and not have to freeze outside to get some nicotine.

Even when I was smoking, I really didn't want to date a smoker ... Stinky sticks for sure!!! LOL

I was the opposite, I would only date smokers. After all, another smoker had no right to complain if I smelled like smoke.

Now I'm realizing that 90% of the girls in my area smoke, so my life just got harder

Lol. I had the same revelation at work a couple of days ago. I've been off analogs for just about 2 weeks now. I can definitely tell me sense of smell is coming back. At the place I work, all us smokers (5 out of 6 of us) were required to spray down with Lysol and use mouth wash after smoking outside. I never really could smell myself or anyone else for that matter after they had smoked... My, how things have changed. Loving vaping and not smelling like a smoker's outpost anymore.

AMEN AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP WITH THE SICK AND INJURED. I really do understand what you said. It was heart warming to me at least. I work and treat small people about 1-4 years old. They used to never come near me. Now they all want to hug me when we meet. Part of the job I guess.

I'm down to date a smoker but I'll turn her into a vaper for sure. ;) and I vape wherever I want for the most part. If I have a small PV. As long as I have an eGo or a 510 I don't really mind vaping wherever. I try my best to not let anyone see, I'll vape in empty isles and what not.

I almost got kicked out of a nightclub for vaping a year or so ago though. The 1st bouncer comes up to me, asks me to leave. I was like "its not a cigarette. Its the same thing coming out of your fog machines!!" he was like "oh its an e-cigarette? oh aright, no problem" couple hours pass, a 2nd guard comes up to me and grabbed it out of my hands, pointed to the door and told me to leave. I was like "Its an e-cigarette, I already spoke with the other guard" he was like "I dont give a .... what it is. Get out of here when your using it" I was like "what? I thought the other bouncer said they are allowed here?" He was like "no. do it outside." and he walked away with it in his hand?? I went over to my girl at the time and told her to stop using my other battery (i was using 510 batteries at the time) and so she put it away. then I had to go argue with the guy to give it back to me. I literally had to argue with him like his intention was to steal my e-cig? and this was an upscale bar. (or so it seemed) I finally got it back and went outside for a vape. This was early on when I first quit. There were so many smokers outside, my girlfriend ended up bumming cigarettes for us for the rest of the night. So idk, screw bars intolerant to vaping? Like come on? Your blowing tons of PG or VG into the air with your fog machines anyway. Unbelievable.

I called to speak with the owner a few times after that but never got ahold of her. Apparently she was the bartender that night. I vaped in front of her all night and she personally told me it was fine. I ended up writing a nice big negative review of the club on every review site I could find. I hope that bouncer learns a lesson one day. your not going to keep your job attempting to quietly steal someones belongings.

I am probably the only one that loves the smell of a fresh smoke on others. I'm glad I don'thave to be embarrassed that I smell like that, but I love, love, love to smell someone else smoking a cigarette. It smells better to me than taking a puff, myself, tastes.

I used to be like that, so you aren't the only one. Before I started smoking myself, I always loved the smell of smoke, especially Reds. Now any smoke smells like an ashtray to me. I've been told that goes away eventually, I hope that's true

I hated that I used to smell like that, I was so embarrassed. Now, I can smell it on others from a mile away lol. I've been smoke-free for a little over 9 weeks now, but it irritates me that when I smell it on others that I crave a cigarette still...very frustrating! I'm hoping I get over that very soon, but it is empowering to want a cigarette and to choose not to have one. And, it is nice to put on perfume and still smell like perfume 3 hours later, instead of like a floral ashtray :)
