Dispatched 11 days ago & still in China?

I was referring to the comment made by hobson about receiving his dispatch email and it not being shipped until days later. This is basically what happened to me, but I misunderstood what he meant.

Obviously my order was dispatched on the 31st, but didn't ship until June 5th @ 12:51 AM China time.

That just adds to the confusion, so I should be expecting my package about a week from now? :confused: I didn't understand why it took days just to go a couple hundred miles from the original location.

I just want it already!! 8-o

So the question is, where was it between the 22nd and the 1st? Still at East Mall or sitting somewhere in the chain waiting to board the plane?

Now it's been sitting in customs since June 3 8:45am.

Ok, I understand now..... Same experience here.... Dispatched on 5-24, but didnt deliver to EMS til 5-31...Full 7 day week to package and get it to EMS Post? Then 4 days to get it Stateside? And I thought 3 Layovers to get from MI to Vegas was a long flight! :shock:

Yeah this isn't looking too good. Obviously I won't get my package until NEXT week. So much for 7-10 days.

Why would they send a notice that it was "dispatched" when they haven't shipped it yet? That's not very professional IMO.

Don't get me wrong, everything else about this order was handled very well on their end, I just don't think adding more delays by not shipping it when you informed the customer you did helps anything. Especially when shipping overseas.

This is getting ridiculous. :(

ellanceo - I believe the problem went unnoticed because everyone read the notice on their site, waited the given time, and now it's snowballed on them.

I've ordered many times from China and have always been able to track my packages. The suggestion that tracking info is not reliable...well, I personally have not found that to be true.

kwcharlie - I haven't seen any posts about partial shipments. This raises my concerns even further.

Two of us from Texas have our orders being held in customs since June 3 after shipment was delayed over a week. I sent an email to Ed yesterday afternoon and received a form type autoreply last night that basically restated my problem. No answers.

If you don't mind my asking, when did you place your order? And when did you receive?

I received Eastmall dispatch confirmation for 5/27 (china)
Yet it didn't hit EMS until 6/5

That's what has me worried, just 2 DSE901 Kits in Chinese labeled boxes, the least value thing on David's shelf BUT he just called and said can't get tracking # till Monday, still have hopes for mail today but without tracking # won't know anything about customs until the 'sorry Charlie' letter that I've had take a week from the time they dump a package.
I'll give you a email, don't want to talk too bad about EM till i know something but it's frustrating without the #'s.

Once dispatched from Eastmall, the shipment is out of the vendors hands.
EMS takes it to China customs, to the plane etc. A shipment can get lost
by any or all who touch the box. It usually shows up, but could be days later. I know this doesn't help the party thats waiting, but does happen.
While going to school, I worked for Emery Air out of Chicago and have seen this happen quite a bit. Sorry for your delays, it sucks!

I have placed 3 orders since memorial day. Two have been delivered. One which was ordered on the 2nd has cleared customs already and on its way to papa. I can't expect any better than that. I will do business with U.S.dealers and will do lots of business with Eastmall.

reviews like yours is why I didn't hesitate to order from East Mall.

But now I sit empty handed... and I am not alone.

I can see that happening occasionally but having this many people with the same issue, in the same timeframe indicates a systemic problem that needs attention.

My other Vendor shipments came thru EMS and this has not happened.

Got mail and no joy from Eastmall but got my new Thompson Cigar catalog. I'll post late Sunday night when Dave gets the tracking # to me from China.

Dear Customers and friends,

Thanks for your support, I am very sorry for the troubles the shipper caused us, we switched different shippers since we moved to the new place, but things turns out to be more troublesome. It takes them longer to register the parcels with shipping company.(Normally 2 days).these days I am trying all ways to fix all the shipping problems, still there are some may not be solved. but we will still focus on it until everything is fine. but no matter what happened, Eastmall. David will be responsible for it, and if parcels very late, we will just reship without hesitation. we just want all of us enjoy the ecig, and enjoy the forum.

Everyday when we finished packing everything, the shipper comes to us, and give us the tracking number , and for less risk, sometimes the shipper will ask us to split the big box into 2 small ones, but unfortunately we did not ask them for the second tracking number everytime, this is my fault. also a good lesson for me , I will not let this happen any more, still we will do as the shippers suggestion at our expense. But I will ask to take all the tracking numbers down. This weekend Ed and I are tracking many orders that were delayed since the national holiday.

I could totally understand all your concerns, once again I am soooo sorry for the troubles, and once again I would like to say that Eastmall will be responsible for this . we will send another order for anything that you havent got yet when splited. and the spare parcel the shipper shipped will be as gift when it arrives you there sometime soon.

In the end, I would like to thank you all for your support, and understanding. Eastmall is always be together with you , as you could notice that we are on the forum often. we will not ruin our own good reputation by not shipping our customers products or just ship them parts. Also I should say a big thank you to ED, my good friend, Thanks for your staying up till 5 am in the morning with all the emails and questions everyday, you are great:p.

If your new shipers did both my packages at the same time it's not looking good, no package today but no 'sorry charlie' letter from customs either so its ma-ma-hu-hu still.
