for what it's worth, i think american spirits are absolutely disgusting. i'll usually turn them down if i'm bumming a smoke from somebody. you should see the insane responses i get when i tell people it's ok i dont want that ....

They come in different types, right? They're supposedly free from pesticides, organically grown, & should have a cleaner tobacco flavor. Maybe the paper is weird?
The Sky Dancer brand is pesticide free, organic, and the slow burn is from the weave in paper. They burn faster than AS's. I researched them the other day after I saw a friend smoking them. I didn't realize there were organic pesticide free smokes before this. I guess they've been out since the 80's?! (Organic). All those years of smoking pesticides makes me furious. Why weren't smokers allowed to know these were available?? Now they're doing the same thing with vaping. Hiding the safer alternatives so smokers don't think they're safe. OMG!

yeah i think there are like 6 or 7 different types of american spirit. most of my friends smoke them exclusively so ive had plenty of exposure to them. i just happen to think they are awful compared to standard marlboro red or camel filter or pretty much any other cigarette that isnt american spirit

lots of smokers (especially these days) swear by american spirit. there's obviously something about them that people like. they just aren't for me

these days im perfectly happy vaping instead of smoking one of their AS

that is why I used the term "modern tobacco" in one of my earliest post on ECF. You should know that tobacco today is not the same tobacco that our grandpas used to smoke. They were healthy while smoking but not us....

I had the owner of a mall kiosk ask me what I thought about parents buying their 16-17 year old child a kit. He does not sell to those under 18 and cards everyone who looks under 30 he told me. But in this case the parents told him they were desperately trying to get their child off of analogs. Since he was actually selling the kit to an adult, he made the sale. I agreed with his decision and support the parents in their efforts to try and break their child's smoking habit.

I totally agree with this. In theory, I'm against selling e-cigs to minors but in a case like this, where the kid is already smoking, I feel torn. I agree that the kiosk owner is in the clear (since he's technically selling to the parent) but I can understand his hesitation.

All I have to say is I hope these parents are talking to these kids about making smart choices in their lives. I have a 6 yr old she hated that I smoked and now that I vape she is happy she said she will not do it but if she decides she wants to she will come to us so we can help her pick out some cool mods like ours. I have also had talks with her about drinking and if she does not to drive or get in to a car with some one who has been drinking to call me I will pick her up no questions asked! I do this because my parents did this to me when I was 12 on vaction we had daiquiri's and piña coladas and yes they let me have some too they didn't hide the booze in the house when the left me home and they trusted me because they had talked to me and told me if I wanted to drink they would rather I do it at home then sneak around. They took the mystery out of things my communicating with me. A lot of parents have forgotten how to talk to there kids about the important topics because they seem to hard or well they will learn it at school! No they need to hear it from you!
