I remember sometimes when my children were younger and got sick with upper respiratory, the doctor would recommend putting this or that in the humidifier water. My mother told me that long ago, when my older sister was a toddler, she had a terrible cough and cold they couldn’t rid. Her doctor recommended mixing honey, lemon and whiskey and giving her a teaspoon every 2 hours over 48 hrs. It didn’t rid her completely but it did boost her system into beginning to get well. Maybe coincidence, maybe not. I have to wonder if it’d be the same vaping these. Though @classwife might be right about heat destroying the healing properties.

Hot toddy is my go-to. I can’t stand cold or allergy medicine in any form. Black tea, a spoon of honey, a shot of whiskey. And I always start eating straight spoons of honey at the start of spring. It wards off my mild allergies for gardening.

You can put essential oils in tea once it cools off a bit. Same for honey and lemon. Lemon juice is great for clearing mucus and honey kind of coats your throat. I used that a lot as I was transitioning to vaping, kept me hydrated, and frankly I find chamomile to be super calming way more so than any over the counter product has any right to be.

I think I might make a cup, my morning's been pretty rough for a lot of reasons. The chamomile just chills you out enough that your other symptoms sort of don't seem to matter as much.

Okay kettle, here I come!

You don't want to vape oils, I know some folks make their menthol using actual menthol crystals though, although you'd probably get the same effect by eating a ricola every few hours, honestly.

I love chamomile. For years, I grew my own. Haven’t recently because I’ve been distracted, but I’m going to plant some this year. Fresh chamomile has a lovely light honey flavor. Better than a muscle relaxer, gentler than a Xanax or sleeping pill.

I do this also. Just has to be real honey and not that processed stuff from the grocery store. Chamomile works good in a keruig

I've heard that about honey, as long as it's local honey. It's worth a try.

I see there are different kinds of chamomile. Which one did you grow? Does it matter?

I can get local honey, from across the street, lol. But even within 100-200 miles works.

I’m not sure what chamomile I usually grew, one I know was simply called German. I grew that from seed, the others I picked up at the local greenhouse. German seemed to get taller than the others, but otherwise the same. Zillions of tiny daisy-like flowers. Very pretty as well as useful. Some people use the leaves too, but I used only the blooms.

My local grocery store has local honey you can put in a container yourself. Hopefully it hasn't been processed.

We're getting ready to move and will soon have a yard. Chamomile seems like a good choice of flowers to grow.

They’re pretty hardy, but look up your grow zone, and don’t plant too soon. My “frost date” is last week of April, but I always wait till Morhers day.

Chamomile is an annual, but sometimes reseeds itself, likes full or mostly full sun, best watered before it’s droopy. Does well in ground or pots. I like to use it along with cut roses instead of baby’s breath.

I can get raw honey at the grocery store, but it tends to not be local.

I’m old school with my tea (actually, I grow/make tisane, because it has no tea leaves). I go full out tea kettle, tea pot, vintage bone china cups and saucers lol. Makes me feel like Miss Marple.

I have never grown anything, but have been thinking about it for some time. With a yard coming soon, I've been starting to learn and plan. I already found out my grow zone is 8B and sent off for free seed catalogs. And, I now have a copy of my 'frost date' table too.

So much to learn!

Typically, if a flavor is clear, it means no food coloring is added. You'd be surprised many juice manufacturers feel their blue rasberry should be light blue and etc. I got some chocolate flavoring that was "clear" and well, it stayed clear and tasted great. I've purchased a storebought coco that I did enjoy, but it was obviously colored by some sort of food coloring (either in the flavoring itself, or added, to make it "look" good. It's hard to get totally "clear" flavorings, at least some of them, I'd think.

I prefer clear flavors when I can get them, as food coloring just gunks up coils something fierce. However, I'd consider any flavoring without food coloring to be as "clear" as possible, although it doesn't always mean transparent. There are also probably times where one may find a particular flavor useful enough that it doesn't have to be clear. I will say, some flavorings, including some one shots, can be obtained with little to no color and that is really my preference, when I can obtain it and etc.

However, during the steeping process it's not entirely unusual for me to see some of my mixes go from clear to pale yellow and etc. I'm not sure if it's the flavors melding, and/or the nic aging, or what, but unless something turns a startling shade of "dark" I tend to not worry much about it.

Makes complete sense! I noticed last week my (clear colored) cap popcorn v2 SFT, without nicotine, turned pinkish after a couple weeks. Idk if thats what this particular concentrate does after being mixed well with air (etc) or if it was the reaction of being mixed with PG &/or VG. Made me think though. Thanks for your input!

My nicotine that I am currently using (some old RTS nic), tends to turn a very pale pink hue, after mixing. It may not be your flavor concentrates at all. ;):D

True... However, it's a single flavor test to learn the profile. So it’s just the concentrate, PG & VG. Mixed 3-15-18 and took pic below just now.
