Yes that person was me. And yes .. I had not tasted tobacco since I quit analogs nearly 2 yrs ago, so having gotten the RY4 was out of character for me to even order it. And when I first mixed it I did it at the recommended 2.5-3% and about fell on the floor when I vaped it the first time. So then I remixed it using just 1 drop in 3ml and it was great .. but only great for me since I normally use very little flavoring anyway and also because it was a tobacco and I wasnt use to it. But I never use a lot of flavor .. for instance when I use TPA or any other flavorings that most people use at 15-20%, I only use 4%. So I am not "normal" and no one who is "normal" should follow my lead .. And I only vape 4mg of nic strength, so yes .. I am a wimp about my flavoring percentages and barely use any nic either. That said, I have developed a huge LOVE for the TE RY4 and have even doubled the amount of flavoring .. I now use 2 drops per 3 ml :D :p

Thanks for getting back to us. I don't distrust your report, at all. If I had to use only even the 1-2% others were reporting here, I'd be more than satisfied, but the amounts I had to use were totally out of the ballpark so that I am very unhappy and wanted to know if these were bad bottles.

I was going to buy the tpa version of ry4. Just never got around to buying. Since the intro of these new flavorings I am happy with the TE version of RY4. However, I might try Dies version of Ry4 with the 1 drop of oba oba. I love oba oba.

If you try let me know if you like or dislike were all different i think for some the overall mix of things may be weak but for me personally i enjoy all the time.
Im thinking also with all the different vg/pg/nic strengths and different brands of those used it will be different also but you all knew that already....lol
I use RTS pg/vg and Nic all the time thanks to a Lady .

UPS guy came my bottles are here and now i can make lots .
No more plastic for me. :)

Report on the customer service chat I just had with ECX: though I explained several times that the advertised concentration was the problem, they are not replacing the bottles and definitely not refunding because

"unfortunately our refund policy is clear we will not refund or replace an item because it was not to your taste."

The CSR tried to find out what it was that I was doing wrong on my end: if it was the ejuice I was using (theirs) or that I didn't let it steep long enough (2 days so far) or that I used super high %'s with others and therefore needed more (nope)

and then told me that so many people have contacted them saying they didn't understand just how concentrated the flavor actually was (wish I had that experience)

Hello, we don't offer refunds on liquids
can i ask what you are mixing it with?

Service 1 15:53:33
with the flavors you've purchased in past orders, what concentration were you using for mixes with those?

Service 1 15:55:33
have you been letting the mixes steep properly?

Service 1 16:21:53
unfortunately our refund policy is clear we will not refund or replace an item because it was not to your taste.

Service 1 16:26:44
Is there anything else I can help you with today?

Thanks to everyone for the oba oba info. Kumari, for some weird reason, if you put too much flavoring in then it counteracts and gives off no flavor at all. Did you try using just a few drops in a 3ml bottle? Mine did not need to steep to taste strong .. but let's remember that I am a flavoring/tobacco wimp ;-)

Kumari said they started low and worked their way up... I see no fault on their end. I wish EXC could/did help out more. But I guess policy is policy. I'm just curious if there is any chance Kumari did/could get a/multiple bottles of 'off' flavorings. Again, I don't really see how that could happen though.

A little late here, but I get my nitrile gloves from my local hospital pharmacy for about $8/100 gloves.

I used to buy those from the pharmacy before I found the gloves that I use now. These are disposable, but made for cleaning so hold up a long time. I have been using my current pair for at least 6 months and I do a lot of mixing. Not bad for a pack with 4 prs for $1 :)

Thanks, Stash. I did try using a drop to 20 drops nic juice, then went up from there. I have not had to steep mixes before to taste the flavor, either.

I'm kinda aggravated with ECX right now, so I'm not gonna write anymore about their flavorings. I don't know if I'll use them again, which is sad because I've used them almost exclusively. I hope you all continue to have better results.

If anyone would like to recommend another vendor with good prices and a good selection of flavors and basic hardware, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks all for the responses so far!

Kumari, I feared that they may not replace/refund for you right after I posted. Most juice/flavoring suppliers do have the non replace/ non refund policy listed on site mostly because everyones tastes vary so greatly. Maybe doing a small trade wih someone that has used the tobacco flavors with good results is a good idea. That way at least you could compare what you have to what everyone else is using and liking.

1 flavor , possible but more than 1 seems odd. also they would recieve flavors in quantity then break into small quantities, so I would expect a lot of complaints if it was a bad lot. never tried baccoo yet

That's pretty much my thinking on it. Maybe try to remix once more just to be sure no mess ups on your end? For me I usually start with 5ml base with 3 drops of flavoring, then add 1 drop at a time till I get it to where I like it. Also, just curious, are you testing them on an atty?

Gosh I am sorry this happened to you. I buy 95% of my flavorings from ECX, for nearly a year and have always been so very happy with them. One time I had ordered 6 different flavorings and when the package arrived one of them was wrong .. I emailed them and they mailed me the correct flavoring that same day, no questions asked, nor did they ask me to return the wrong one or pay the postage or anything. That made me a customer of theirs for life. But I can see how your experience has not been the same and I am so sorry that it happened to you. I dont know if VZ's super concentrate RY4 is the same as ECX's .. nor have I had VZ's, but maybe it is close to the same.

From what I have read in the reviews of it, it seems to be very similar. The review on their site, the poster said it was very weak. It was the same for me until I used double the flavoring compared to my other tobaccos.

Kumari, The ECX site says this

Return Policy

You may return UNOPENED and UNUSED items for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. You will be responsible for the shipping charges to us. Shipping charges are NON REFUNDABLE. You may not return e-juice, liquid products, opened cartridges, powders, crystals, or DIY ingredients for hygienic reasons and therefore it is NON REFUNDABLE.

This is pretty standard as far as liquids go. I know it does not make you feel any better, but you really can't fault them too much.

I still wonder if linnx might consider letting you send him one of the flavorings so that he is able to see if there is indeed a problem with your order.

It would be a good way to help a customer and honestly (its really not for me to say but) I doubt they would be losing any money on the deal vs. losing a customer.
