Gosh I am sorry this happened to you. I buy 95% of my flavorings from ECX, for nearly a year and have always been so very happy with them. One time I had ordered 6 different flavorings and when the package arrived one of them was wrong .. I emailed them and they mailed me the correct flavoring that same day, no questions asked, nor did they ask me to return the wrong one or pay the postage or anything. That made me a customer of theirs for life. But I can see how your experience has not been the same and I am so sorry that it happened to you. I dont know if VZ's super concentrate RY4 is the same as ECX's .. nor have I had VZ's, but maybe it is close to the same.

Right, but that was a case of them sending the worng item. If you had just not liked the flavor, it probably would have been a different story.

I still wonder if linnx might be open to inspecting a flavor to see if there was an issue or it is just a matter of individual taste here.

Maybe it's just something with your taste buds and whatever it is that they use for these flavors? I've never come across a flavor that doesn't work until I use huge amounts of it, but I've had some flavors that just don't ever taste at all like what they're supposed to be - even though a bunch of other people seem to think it's perfect.

If ECX was selling flavors that they said should be used at 2.5% and everyone who tried them had to use 25% I'd feel like they were cheating people and owed refunds. No offense meant, but with the flavors working for everyone except one person, it does seem like it's in the same category as someone just not liking a flavor. I don't see anything that they did wrong, or could have anticipated.

Thanks, Stash. I did try using a drop to 20 drops nic juice, then went up from there. I have not had to steep mixes before to taste the flavor, either.

I'm kinda aggravated with ECX right now, so I'm not gonna write anymore about their flavorings. I don't know if I'll use them again, which is sad because I've used them almost exclusively. I hope you all continue to have better results.

If anyone would like to recommend another vendor with good prices and a good selection of flavors and basic hardware, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks all for the responses so far!

so far dj not my bag, done with it, fruit not working unless i can mix and make it work. little more time and I will have better idea what Im getting rid of

Try letting the fruit steep before you get rid of them. The Blackberry has lost much of the syrupy sweet taste after about a month of steeping. Also, try going lower on flavor % used.

My blackberry is at 3 drops in 5ml. still need to find it and check it out again.

Looks like 4 drops in 5ml now. I remember it was good at lower as well, imo.

Happy mixing guys/gals! I have to get busy in the real world for awhile. I had the main computer fry on me today. So I am sure DH is going to use my laptop for a trip to Amazon. :) I am enjoying Dunhil aTM in my atty. I cannot believe I had a aversion to attys. (Not anymore:))

You got it!

Wow, it appears my WL nic is overpowering my blackberry now... Taste like...equal parts blackberry and WL (~peppery) nic...not sure what else to say about it

I have just recently been noticing this with all of my mixes using the WL nic. At this point in time I do not have another nic for comparison so I can't comment more on it

I mega stocked up on nic when GP had a big sale end of November last year. It was only $4.99 for 120ml of 36mg nic. You could get it in pg or vg. Of course, I ordered enough to get free shipping and used their coupon code for an extra 5% off. I tried it and bought a bunch more while it was on sale. Hubby and I really like it. I'm hoping they have the same sale this year.

Anyone else use GP nic?

Linnx wrote me back and chalked it up to my subjective taste. I just don't see how that can be as I've experienced similar results to others and pre-mixed has been fantastic for me, even from ECX where I've bought most of my stuff.

Linnx is not replacing or refunding.

It's OK though because even if it's just me that this has happened to, then at least it's here in the record, as well as how the customer service was handled. It's important for me to make sure that anyone else coming after has the information at hand. I surely can't be the only one. And, maybe some will think twice now. There should be a record, I think, if 90% love it and it's works that one way for them, but then there are others that experience something different. At least it's out there.

I have not.. But the only nic I have get real high regards around here, is RTS. I have not heard anything bad from anyone who has used it. It is also, as far as I know 100% American (please someone correct me if I am wrong). The prices are more than fair, assuming everything I heard is true. I don't think anyone here will point you in any other direction. For me, at this time, all i can say is WL, is killing my flavors.

I'm just curious what nic you are using and what are you using to vape with(atty/carto/etc.)? Sorry, I know this is not helpful to you.

Hi Kumari
if you could post your recipe including any flavorings/pg/vg/nic and Nic strength ratio from "calculator used" it would help others im sure or be a good reference for record.

I'm using unflavored ejuice from ECX 50/50 VG/PG and I taste tested with the atomizer to mix and have tried it again several times today with a cartridge and atomizer.

I think I'm gonna go smoke a cigarette now.

Ok. As much as I hate beating a dead horse, have you tried the equivalent of 2-3 (maybe even 4) drops of the RY4 flavoring per 1ml of base?

KumariHPX, my experience with the ECX flavors has been very similar to the one you've had. I found the flavors to be very weak...the weakest DIY flavoring I've used with the exception of some of Faerie's Finest's flavors. However, I've only tried the RY4 and the 555. I never got anywhere near a mix with 25% flavor though.

I used an Ikenvape atomizer and an Ipro and 100% VG from Wizard Labs, thinned with a bit of DW. (I use no nic for testing purposes.) I started with one drop of flavor in 3 ml VG and went all the way up to nine drops of flavor per 3ml. I seemed to get the most flavor at 4 drops in 3ml, any more or less than that and the flavor faded. However, even at the peak of 4 drops, the flavor was really weak. I could "sort of taste something" with the RY4, and the 555 tasted similar but had a bit more flavor. To be fair, my tastebuds are really wonky. I figured it was just me so I asked my husband to try some and see what he thought. He's not big on testing flavors, so I just had him try each flavor one time. For both the RY4 and the 555 I added 3 drops to 2 ml of a 75% PG/25% VG blend. His feelings about the flavors were identical to mine. (He still smokes and only vapes once in a while though, so I don't often ask his opinion!) I haven't done any long-term steeping with the flavors but I'm not sure I'll bother.

As a comparison, I use VZ's "Real Cig" at one drop per ML of 100% VG and 15%-20% of most of Capella's flavors.

Anyhow, thanks for letting us know, KarmariHPX. I'm glad to know it's not just me this time!
