DIY Flavoring Thread - Part 2

@toweknee. I never thought I would like fruit flavors until I tried the Apricot and Grape. I use them as add ins but they do add a nice touch to tobacco and cigar flavors. My latest love is black n milk and Captain. I have to mix allot of flavors this week. I am sending a friend some flavors to try.

I wonder if we can get ecx to start carrying Nature flavors? I think I will ask. The only one I am interested in is the Kona type. I obtained a free sample from a FB contest and was in love with it. However, that was premixed. and a very measly 3mL sample.

I just got some of the Black n Milk buy haven't tried it yet, what percentage did you use? I keep seeing a lot of good comments about the Natures Flavors, they must be pretty good. Do they sell concentrates or just premixed?

Rl, I use 3% on the black n milk and it is quite good. SC flavors are VERY concentrated compared to the other brands that I usually use at 15 to 20%.

Nature's Flavors is one of those brands you either love or hate. I can't live without their Caramel Cream, but it's the only flavor I use from them. I haven't tried many but they are a great alternative for people who can't vape PG.

OT sorta, I finally ordered and tried TPA's Cinnamon Sugar Cookie / Snickerdoodle flavor....don't waste your money! I've come closer to making a snickerdoodle myself than this muddy tasting attempt at a flavor!

I have never tried snickerdoodle. About time that I talk myself into it, I hear how someone hates it.

Thanks for the info. I didnt really know what to think when I first saw the name "Black n Milk" but thought it might be interesting so it was more of an impluse buy. I've been doing that a lot lately. I have way too many flavors (Capella, FA, TPA, FW, etc) that its hard to keep track of them and havent had much play time lately to experiment. Its great when you can find someone that has already tried it and it least get a starting point on percentages. I also just got the Sugar cookie and Snickerdoodle from Capellas. I read some good flavor reviews on them and couldnt help myself. I keep bouncing back and forth trying different tobaccos, then bakery types. Here's one of "Str8v8pings" snickerdoodle recipes that im about to try. His bakery recipes are great.

25 ML 14mg
Cinnamon Danis Swirl (capella) 8%
Gingerbread (capella) 6%
3/4 FW sugar cookie/1/4 capella sugar cookie 6%
butter 2%
vanillin 1.5%

I want to try a lemon/lime mix with koolada. Any idea how much koolada I should use?

Fran I use 1 drop per 1 ml of mixed juice for my tobacco mixes, but you might start out out at 1 drop per 2ml of mixed juice. I have made a Cool Lemon that is 12 drops SC Lemon and 6 drops of Koolada in 10 ml of 12mg 67PG/33VG and it is great for me anyway.

Thanks for the recipe Rl, I've seen it but haven't tried it yet. Mind you, this is my opinion right after mixing, I'll let it steep a bit and revisit it. The smell from the bottle of flavor is peculiar, it's cinnamony and cookie smelling, but a drop on the finger is nothing like a snickerdoodle cookie. It's not sweet at all and the spices taste muddy, I don't know what other word to describe it. I knew right away I wouldn't like it as a stand alone, so I mixed it 50/50 with white chocolate for sweetness and added 1 drop per ml of condensed milk for richness. Vaping in in an i06 atty @ 4.7v and it just tastes bland right now.

Sdh turned me on to the Black n Milk

I just mixed 5ml of the BnM and gonna let it sit for a few days. Actually I mixed up 3 5ml batches.
5ml 12mg 3% BnM
5ml 12mg 3% BnM with 2 drops lemon juice
5ml 12mg 3% BnM with 2 drops Apple Cider Vinegar

I feel ya on the snickerdoodle problems. I tried a couple of different "red bull" types thinking it would turn out pretty good but I could tell from the smell the taste wasnt going to be good and I wound up dumping the batches. I'll try it again eventually but my first one was so bad I have to give it a while to get that horrible taste out of my memory.

This is kinda funny. I smoked 2 packs Newport 100's/day every day for years. I'm 41 now and started smoking when I was 15.
I've only been vaping about 5 months now, DIY about 2 months. Never in my wildest dreams could I have ever imagined going from smoking Newports to vaping apple pie, snickerdoodle, etc.

I use to use koolada to make a nice lemon ice flavor. I only used 1% to start. I would imagine it would be a excellent starting point to add to flavors. I think I seen on the ecx site to use between 1-4% depending on how cool you want your flavor.

No fluff Sdh. Lemon and Lime are just not fluff. I used to make a mix of lemon/lime vendor juice I liked but that was ages ago. When I get off my .... I want to try it again with some koolada. I think I'll like the cooler mix better. My peppermint/Lime mix is one of my favorite DIY's.
I have the Vape Wizard too but haven't tried that either.

I will say that using vinegar in the mix will change the taste a bit. I actually like it better!

I have used ACV with other tobacco mixes that I felt like it helped at first. Over time the flavor muted. I am happy with the TE flavors as mixed, so have not tried it

I hope that you do ask them to carry NF. Especially the Kona and Caramel.

I was all ready to place my order with ECX but decided I really wanted the NF flavors and a larger size of Capella's CDS, so ended up ordering elsewhere.
