so this is where all my other DIY buddies hang out :)

any conclusions on whether the ECX super concentrated flavors are the same as the VZ?

The fruit flavors that I have tried from both are exactly the same. linnx has another 140 flavors on order that should arrive any day now.

I saw some ppl adding flavoring to vg,pg first. after 24-48 hours add nic

I have mixed up a concentrated flavor base(flavor-pg/vg) with flavors that have perfume/chemical going on upon original mixing with nic with flavors that I know I will mix up again. When I want to mix a bottle, I measure out an amount of the flavor base accounting for the % of flavor in the am't I measure out-add more flavor to get the total % I want for the amount I want in my final mix-add my pg/vg-mixing well then add my nic base to complete. This has eliminated some of the melding time. I have had where I could vape it almost immediately upon mixing without the perfume/chemical going on.

I have not done that with these flavors, and don't know that I will as these TE flavors are not taking that long to come together. I have had some that have been good immediately upon mixing-not that they don't get better with aging if they last long enough.

so this is where all my other DIY buddies hang out :)

Good morn Cyrus. Good to see you here. I have not tried the VZ flavors. I do know that the 10 TE tobacco flavors I have tried, I am amazed with how with one flavor I have been able to achieve a quality vape, IMHO.

The other day I mixed up a 30ml bottle of Ry4 flavoring. I added an extra 1% tobacco TE brand of course. I really want some of this to steep. I couldn't wait. LOL I think folks can experiment with the flavors as well. I cannot wait to collect these flavors.

For a total of 3.5% flavoring?

I'm just about set to place one of my largest orders for a nice variety pack of the Tobacco Express flavors (a few tobaccos and a couple fruits), plus I'm going to try one or two of the FA flavors (Latakia, maybe Dark Vapure).

In addition, I'm getting a few things I see commonly mentioned that might also be useful. I was hoping to get some suggestions, i.e. definitely have X in your supplies, or don't bother with Y. Lots of love for trying to mix tobacco's in a variety of directions (smoky, nutty, sweet, spicy). Fruits I think I'm OK [so far] with accessorizing - either they are just pretty straight forward, or I've just been lucky so far. I haven't done much with desert and drink type vapes, both of which I've found trickier so far and don't have as much motivation to work on yet.

For additives: Tobacco extract (or should I go w/absolute?), Malic Acid or sour, MTS Vape Wizard. Bitter Wizard is a question mark, but I'm thinking yes. Some sort of heat is also a possibility - i.e. capsicum? So far, I already have at home EM, sucralose, and menthol.

Common mixing flavors: (FE) Chocolate, (FE) Vanilla, Peanut Butter (is Capella's a good one? Pricey. Only want to consider those that don't have Diacetyl-alikes). Any others (a Coffee or some sort maybe?)? I do have a Caramel already.

I'll probably be grabbing some stuff later from TPA based on a nice short list sinnyc put together (e.g. definitely Guaiacol and maybe others like Tetramethylpyrazine).

@LM - thanks for the blue berry info :)

Guaiacol is great to add smokiness to the flavor. You are right, too much of anything will ruin a mix IMO. Too much vinegar cancels the flavoring altogether. The FE Vanilla is one that I will say is a must have because it can be mixed with any other flavor and be good. My top FE flavors are Mango, Blackberry, Apricot, and Vanilla.

I like fruit and sweetish flavors so I always have FA Cookie, FW Sugar Cookie (not as sweet as it sounds) TFA White Chocolate, TFA Bavarian Cream, FA Marshmallow, FA Whipped Cream on hand at all times in order to sweeten, add depth and smooth out my fruit/sweet type flavors.

Not sure if any of this is useful to you since I am not a tobacco fan :)

Oh, and I like TFA Peanut Butter although it is more peanut than butter IMO. I have not tried Capellas yet.

Not sure how that came out as a quote since I was in edit mode lol

Thanks a bunch salem - that certainly is helpful! Perhaps this will provide me nice way to segue into a nice desert vape after all :) They all definitely sound like ones that will go well in many places to me.

In addition, I think I'll move the PB to my TPA order and definitely try their white chocolate too (haven't tried that yet as a vape, but I love white chocolate).

More info on that additive list I was referring to FWIW:

The acetyl pyrazine is something I can't do without, its the magic ingredient in many vendor juices of the RY4 family (Halo Tribeca for one) (~1 drop per 4 ml...add too much and you get overwhelming graham cracker flavor. Add it to something that's not intrinsically sweetish/ethyl maltolish and you'll get straight up fritos, no lie)

The trimethyl pyrazine is the magic ingredient in many vendor juices of the 555 family (~1 drop per 5 ml. Add too much and you'll get straight up acetone). This one is also pretty important to me

(Part of CyrusVap's feedback on sinnyc's shopping list.)
