By cooking down the flavoring. Does that remove flavor molecules? Try the malt without cooking it down. It might have a different taste. Just curious.

I could be wrong but i'm thinking if you do a slow evap then your removing alchohol and making the flavor more concentrated.

I would say yes but to me it's one of those flavors that 5 different people could say that taste 5 different things. I really suck on flavor reviews. It's very unique and probably the best sweet flavor out there (to me anyway). Now I want some chocolate wafers.... Damn.

@Rlafontaine1971
Oops. You were answering me while I was asking you where you got them again. :)

Do you think the taste is similar to a chocolate wafer? Something like these? A barely there, light chocolate flavor.

Well, I have my NF butterscotchx3 and caramel cream, 2 ounces of each because I knew I'dlove them. I haven't tried them yet. Long ago, I made a decision not to knowingly vape flavors with diacetyl, and I never thought to look into it. Now I know that these flavors have diacetyl. I dunno what to do because I have never wanted to try anything more...

Uh oh. I wanted some malt by flavourart but theirs contained diacetyl.

We lack the right cinnamon. I wonder what the regular NF cinnamon tastes like?
Dunno Jimi...but now I'm on the hunt for it, to see if anybody carries it besides NF. LOL

Doesnt NF have a sweet cinnamon? Im thinking I almost ordered that when I got the butterscotch and caramel.
That's the one I have that to me smells and tastes like the red hot cinnamon candy. I wrongly assumed that the "sweet" meant bakery. :)

That's OK. I really suck at flavor reviews, so I can relate.
But if the malted taste is reminiscent of those chocolate wafers...Oh my....now this flavor has moved to the top of my "must have" list.

I hear ya Jewels...so will the desire for that incredible flavor we're looking for overrule our better judgment? Hmmm.

I mean, has anyone in the history of vaping(I know it's short) reported a problem from vaping flavors with diacetyl? I've never heard of one. I really want to justify using these flavors.

That's a good question. To my knowledge, it's an unknown as to how much would need to be vaped to be damaging to anyone's lungs. I could be wrong though since I haven't researched it recently.

I'm like you in that I really think it's best to avoid anything with diacetyl, simply because of the mere possibility of lung damage. That's why I'm not willing to say "sure Jewels...go for it and enjoy the butterscotch with dicacetyl!"

I do understand you wanting to justify using it though...I really do.

Here & There
Just wanted to post a little update on my NF experiments. I couldn't quite bring myself to micro/evap off any alcohol after the first flavor and seeing how much I actually lost so I made the rest with no evaporation and have let them sit for 4 days now caps off. I do not recommend trying them immediately as I did if you are sensitive to alcohol and/or vaping higher PG as the alcohol aspect is potent at first.

The coffee is stellar and spot on--my husband took a hit and walked off with the bottle...lol :blink:The coffee family of flavors all taste good to me and probably the best coffee flavors available to us. :D I will begin to experiment with a slightly higher VG and see how that goes and if it helps speed the alcohol dissipiation. If I had to make a generalization if you vape high or all VG these flavors will probably be ideal as they are literally the viscosity of water. The bonus to vaping higher PG is I seem to need less flavor than I see previously mentioned at least on the ones I got. The coffee family so far is good to me in the 5% range. Now to move on to the other flavors....

So glad you shared this Shilo. Except that now I want to try their coffee too. :)

I don't suppose you have their Banana Foster or malt or cinnamon?

Look forward to hearing more NF reviews from you.

I think eventually we will know if folks have a problem with Nature Flavors and or organic flavorings. I do see allot of vendors making this e-liquid with this product. Nature Flavors state their product is not for inhalation. I keep researching and all I come up with is that NF diacetyl is natural and not a synthetic form of the chemical. Personally, it would not be a all day vape for me. However, I remember once upon a time seeing someone post a percentage (I cannot find it now.) and it was a very minute amount.

Flavorart would be the safest flavorings as touted by their extensive research for vaping. However, no one knows how safe flavorings really are.

On another note: I keep seeing/reading on FB where folks and a few small vendors are mixing juices up to 30%. IDK I think this is way to high and pose a potential health effect. However, it is a personal opinion.

woohoo .. got back from our trip/vacation today and my package from NF is here .. with Caramel Cream and Butterscotch3X. Cant wait to try them.

Not sure what method to use to evaporate the alcohol. Being impatient I am thinking of heating a little of the flavoring on the stove in a pot for 1-2 minutes .. then let it cool off. Wonder if that method would work?

So, the diacetyl in these flavors doesn't bother you. Please share your opinion because I am trying to validate my use of them. I am really torn...

I havent vaped them yet, just got my package .. but no, I am not worried. One reason is because I put much worse in my lungs for a zillion years .. snd the other reason is because I think NF is the flavoring COV has been using for several years and I haven't heard of anyone dying yet LOL
