DIY Flavoring Thread - Part 2

Got my NET flavorings from My vape juice and OMG!!! I don't want to get too excited but OMG!! If I go on smell alone its complete RY4 Heaven!!! The Raisin Rum I got smells so delicious! Mixed up batch of each and now have the patience to let these puppies steep. I really want to try to get these to a month but will drip throughout so I have a base point.

Did I say how good this stuff smells?

What % did you start at? I think their site said something like 15-25% EEK! Could be expensive at that rate, but worth it perhaps?

If mine broke I would be miserable. I could always get another fairly quickly/cheaply but during that time I would make a mixed tape and reflect back on better times...

Everybody should. It's like 6 bucks. I'm sure we all blow a lot more than that on funky flavors we never even use after we get a good taste of it. Seriously though, I think it does wonders. Blend it and put it away for a few days and compare it to something thats been sitting for a while.

I was thinking about getting a used magnetic mixer but it just didn't seem practical for small bottles.

This one and it is awesome. I use the 30 ml cobalt blue bottles with droppers. I mix 25ml and its enough to put the stick mixer in there and go to town. Also had to drip some of the Ry4 and hands down I can already say its the best Ry4 I ever had. Going to put this away and come back after a couple of days and see the difference. I mixed the Ry4 @ 15% and the Rum Raisin @ 10% just to see. My gut is saying the full 25% would be ideal for me but not going to touch this one and just drip to test. I pray to baby Jesus this bottle even lasts that long lol.

Are you speaking of the Rogue RY4. I just got mine in today and it does smell awesome. So does the Country Squire Caramel Apple. Mixed at 15% and hid it in a drawer. I'll check em out in two weeks.

I also have a hobby paint shaker on the way to really shake up my mixes. I am hoping that will shorten the steep times if I hit em every couple days for a few minutes on the shaker. We will see. The ultrasonic treatments did not impress me.

Yep I got the Rogue Ry4 which is the Natural tobacco they have another one called OUR Ry4 which is synthetic. Shilo let this batch steep some but just what I dripped is already fantastic. I think the mixer works wonders and already have noticed quicker steep times in my regular batches.

I got my mixer a couple days ago, but haven't tried it yet. Do you warm your liquid before using the mixer?

Pulled the trigger and got the little mixer coming.

I just started two fresh 10ml bottles of Hangsen TE Desert Ship and one bottle of Hangsen TE Turkish Blend and they are in the ultrasonic cleaner now.

Did some things different...first thing is I switched to Now brand VG from Humco and I can already tell from sampling that the Now is less sweet and more neutral flavored.

Also I actually measured the flavoring rather than using drops. I went with 10% flavor, so I added 1ml of the Hangsen Tobacco Essence to 9ml of prepared nicotine base rather than starting with 10ml of base and adding drops....the color is already darker so I think I was way off in my mixing before.

Finally I turned the temperature way down on the ultrasonic cleaner. Last time I was doing a cigar extract at the same time and I had the temperature cranked way up not thinking about what that might do to my e-juice. So now it's set for about 100° rather than 170°+. That could make a big difference maybe.

I think I'll get better results. At worst I'll have better baseline data for future changes.
