I have tried the tobacco absolute but didn't care for the grassy taste I then switched to the tobacco extract from TPA and it is alot better but it has to be diluted

It sure does need to be diluted! The most recommended ratio I've seen seems to be 1:100 - and that's before adding it to a DIY mix!

I think that's where even a lot of vendors go wrong...even when you buy the "tobacco Absolute Diluted" it's only diluted to 1:2, it still needs to be diluted 1:50 more before using drops of it in a mix.

It opens up and becomes a much more pleasent thing when it's very diluted.

EDIT: I guess you might get by without dilution for very large batches. For me I think 1 drop of pure tobacco absolute would be enough for somewhere around 200ml of my current favorite mix recipe if I ever decided to make a batch that large. I would use 2 drops of the TA Diluted 1:2 stuff though because it's easier to handle and I think I read that it's important to use grain alcohol for that initial 1:2 dilution.

That seems reasonable. I use 10 drops of the Tobacco Absolute Diluted (1:2) per 10ml PG, so that would be like 5 drops of pure TA to 10ml PG and I think mine is a little stronger than the recommended dilution, but I like the stuff. Then I'm currently using about 5 drops of that final dilution per 10ml of e-juice and it's still pretty strong. The Hangsen Tobacco Essence flavors I'm using have some kind of (fairly weak) TA dilution in them too, though.

Hoping to get a quick piece of advice here.

I'm trying to do a nice sour lemon vape. I have Lemon from TFA and it's a little sweet by itself.

I also have Tart and Sour from LorAnn.


For a 15 ml batch, can someone please give me some advice on how much Tart and Sour to use? I don't want the vape to turn my face into a prune (it's almost there anyway), but I do want a nice "pinch" on my tongue.

I'm just afraid of overdoing it and getting a sickly sweet flavor.

Any other recommendations to make a sour flavor will be greatly appreciated.

I think I,ve used up to 3drops per 5ml on some juices. Just start low and add as you go. You'll want to be careful using it in plastic tanks, it'll probably crack them. At least that's what I've read, I don't use much with plastic anymore so I'm not sure.

What do you think adding a tiny bit of completely combusted white ash from a burned rolling paper would do in a mix?

I'm curious if the ash would blend well. Only 1 way to find out.

Those Top papers don't burn clean and leave a gray ash, so next time I'll definitely use a quality rice or hemp paper that would hopefully burn cleaner and leave white ash.

I mixed the ash from 1 burned cigarette paper into 2ml of PG and ultra-steeped (in the ultrasonic cleaner) for 4 hours and the ash did eventually disolve creating an ominous gray liquid. If it settles, I'll just filter through a cotton ball stuffed into a syringe...I'm sure the flavor will remain.

I only vaped one drop to test and man is it ashy (and in a cigarette way)! I think some variation of this would definately work, but it would need to be added with a light hand, like with Tobacco Absolute.

I only tried one drop in a rebuildable dripping atomizer so no problem. It probably should be filtered, but it's the kind of thing that you'd probably only use a drop or two of in a mix so I bet it would be OK.

Sometime soon I'll pick up some good rolling papers and do it up right. I'll also try adding a drop or two of what I have to some my less succesul DIY experiments just to test it out in a mix

I got my RY6 today too. It is a lot like a cigarette! Almost too much like one, even has a little of the cigarette aftertaste and the exhaled vapor has a whiff of ciggy smoke.

I think I'll want the Tobacco Essence flavoring version to mix with my favorites, Desert Ship and Turkish Blended to get closer to a Turkish cigarette.

I really like the service from Indy Vapor Shop! Fast shipping! I ordered 30ml and it came in three 10ml bottles with needle tips - Bonus! I need to get used to the smaller drops, though....almost running the dripping atty dry at times. I need to go like 10 drops instead of my usual 5.

I'm going to put 2 bottles away to see what steeping will do for it. Will definitely order the RY6 Tobacco Essence when available.

thanks Jimi for the kind offer my friend but I think I will either mix up some other stuff to tide me over or I was considering the hangsen to try as well as the signature. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe the signature is TPA
