yup alot of testing to be done to determine the true flavour profile of each bottle i buy.
TFA is kinda expensive tbh. Lorann too, 8oz bottle at $16 from bakeking website..
I try not to pick up imported flavours i can get at a cheaper price locally so the "tuition fee" to save cost in the future is expected.

Thanks for the advice though, I do take them into consideration during my experiments :)
Going to wing it this weekend w some new and creamy flavours. *fingers crossed*

Edit: so far PH strawberry konnyaku and BK strawberry essence is giving out the perfumy smell and bitter taste. Still have BK strawberry and pineapple flavours to try from my current local collection.

i'd suggest FA>cap>TFA>lorann>local stuff in that sequence (pretty much a ranking), FA do provide no tracking mail which is pretty cheap. But overall I feel its still best to grab everything from forum suppliers and just forward them altogether.
there's really not much you can do with local flavourings, I suppose peach is pretty decent but thats about it so far i've found.

Some flavours from cap are pretty sweet, like their sweet strawberry line up.

TPA's sweetener - Sucralose diluted with PG :) bought online.

The splenda and equal sachets i see contain lactose and other chemicals, not too sure about those.
Splenda used in liquid recipes seems to be pure sucralose.
I think stevia from organic/supplement shops might work better, but of course check the ingredient list.

Edit: update on BK strawberry essence, day 4 of steeping - juice now taste like medicine :l

Hi all. Can i ask a question? I finish my juices and began making my own from PH. Got green apple and blueberry. So i try 10ml green apple and 10ml vg. Steep for a week. I tried it on my 0.5occ subtank. And got a burning taste, so i thought my coil was burned out so i use the premix 1.5 occ coil from the subox box. And still i get the burning taste and itchyness from it. Can i ask did i do anything wrong. Was thinking to get kantel to recoil my 0.5 and was wondering if its vertical or the normal horizontal coil. Thank you and sorry for the long msg.

Have you tried it on an RBA? 50% flavor is quite high though. I'd personally go 30% flavor, 10% PG, 60% VG. Try it on some fresh cotton, there shouldn't be a burning taste unless you are not wicking it properly or using too much power.

I shall try lowering my flavour percentage with a new cotton. Thanks for the advise

It's good to experiment with Redman flavor but that's it's only purpose. I did a 30ml mix 30/70 peppermint, 10ml for both 20/80 greenapple and lychee with no taste at all.

Bought my first batch of lorann oils. A tad pricy for just ³.7 ml.

Anyway a quick question for you vets. Will pg affect my mix in any way if there's no nicotine added? From what I read, pg gives more throat hit but only if there's nicotine.

Cheers

Hi there, newbie here. I have tried PH Lychee. Doing it at 50/50. I've read somewhere that all PH & BK flavourings are unsweetened. I managed to get a bottle of powdered Stevia from an organic store. What I did was water bath the flavouring in order to dissolve the Stevia then add the VG. Stevia is extra sweet and only needed a small amount to be mixed. Steeped for a week and walla! Flavour & cloud is awesome on my RDA.

Ahh, you succeeded? I just tried making a 1:1 ratio of Splenda. But it just won't become a syrup texture! Driving me nuts. Now I have splenda AND Equal at home duno what to do with them. Can you explain what you mean by "water bath the flavouring"?

Please give us the exact steps & recipe so we can start DIY-ing! HAHA

Btw, kudos for succeeding!

Water bath is heating up the flavour by using hot water. I put my DIY juice in a glass bottle while having hot water on the outside to heat the flavor and dissolve the Stevia.

How much stevia did you put onto how many ML of flavouring? Also, isn't 50% flavouring and 50% VG a bit too high in flavouring? Cause the last time I tried to make a high percentage of flavouring DIY it ended up making my whole room stink of that smell. So I learnt not too put too much flavouring. Just about 10 drop is perfect to about 5ml of VG.

Manage to get to know the scoop quantity. It is 0.15cc by Measurex.

Thanks for the info bro! I just had some info someone doing DIY is also using Stevia. LOL what do I do with my Splenda and Equal -_-
Question: 1 x scoop of Stevia (0.15cc) to the whole bottle of flavouring?
Question 2: Percentage of sweetened flavouring to VG?

Sorry I failed too many times so wana know exactly how to create this. lol.

I tried with 4 scoops to every 10ml batch of juice.
