Yeah I am surprised that they didn't do something life a resetting fuse. Would of made their job alot easier instead of freak accident fuse blowing happening. I guess the socket would be too big(no idea how big those things actually are but yeh
Afaik no resettable fuse max 12v with 25a that small, that's why I think they went for slow blow type fuse.

Thanks Tony that's a great help, I'll copy your post and make a note of it. I assume the board screws onto the case and also using something to keep the battery still. I will look on YouTube for some videos, I think I have seen one but the guy was using his own case, same stuff should apply. Thanks for your help!

Forgot the battery lol

I'm using a turnigy nano tech 950mah which is a very tight fit. You can also use a flightpower 800mah.

You're right about the rest.

Tony

I received my Veero DNA200 from steammonkey yesterday and i am really impressed with the mod and the chip. For those that don't know, it is a triple 18650 mod. It feels really good in the hand and is not nearly as heavy as i was expecting. It actually fits pretty well in the pocket. I can't say enough about the chip and the escribe software. Battery life is awesome. I took some pictures of the mod and a couple of pics comparing size with my IPV3 li. The screen was a little crooked when i took the pictures, but i had a couple of messages with Walter, who built it, and he informed me that the screen is a bit free floating, so i just nudged it a little and now it is perfectly lined up. Really happy with my purchase. The pics are here

I thought the triple 18650 convertor wasn't out yet?
Walter at steammonkey has been putting up 4 or 5 of these a week for sale. Not sure how he is getting it done. He explained it in the Reddit thread. I am not a builder, but this thing is perfectly balanced as far as battery charge and discharge. You could probably message him on the steammonkey Facebook page. He seems like a really cool guy.

If you can build a mod, then you should be able to wire your own balance connector.

Steammonkey's Vero DNA200 looks quite sweet! How does the battery cover fit; plastic snaps I assume? Or screws?
It is screws. That was the one thing I was not too keen on. Although I don't think I will be changing the batteries very often. Seems like it will last all day. Been vaping all day today and still have 64% battery left. I did spend some time on escribe, so it would have been charging during that time, but overall, battery life is epic.

judging by the evolv forums random chip death seems to be happening more and more. Wonder what is up with those fuses since it seems like they are the reason.

Well my V200 went belly up five minutes out of the box. Flashing - "Battery" and "Warranty" and won't do anything except get very warm which scarred me enough to open it and unplug the battery.

You would think a man with half a brain after all the trouble with my DNA40 wouldn't be in this spot again but here I am. What is the definition of insanity.

Buying a DNA before "beta testing" is completely done? ;)
Actually I think Holman isn't insane... Well maybe just a little but duckle and myself are to blame too (maybe more on my part) . We started this dna 200 fever, building mods, testing settings, making custom screens etc and kinda dragged Holman into it.

I said I would get the dna 200 by December myself but now I'm vaping on one and eating my hat... Stuff happens.

I still don't believe it was the board's fault to belly up.

Not your fault Tony,

I am just trying to keep up with the big kids. Besides how can I let a Conquistador get one up on me.

Actually you and Duane were having far to much fun with the new toy for me not to join in.

Actually what do you want to bet that Duane is sitting in front of Escribe right now trying to OD while tuning his wicking skills.

Tony.

Well like you I'm a man of strong resolve and weak follow through. After a botched Win 10 install I swore I wouldn't do it again for a long time. It cost me two days of yuck with only 2 hours of sleep.

Now my weak follow through has me typing on a Win 10 laptop only two days later.

Let's hear it for weak follow through to strong resolve! :D
