DNA20D screen protector possibility to aid modders...

The problem of mounting and protecting the display is something I've been thinking about a lot lately. The bracket is good, and seems like it it will work for a variety of cases.

Here is how I'm planning to mount mine (sans bracket). Maybe it's been done before.

I modeled it based on what mamu wanted and she orded a couple to try.

So yes it legit....how legit is tbd.

The cradle goes into a cutout from the outside and then screen from the inside.

rut roh bap - cat's out of the bag now.

@tw - I told bap what I'd like to have and showed him a few of my drawings of it. He converted my drawings and description to a 3D file and submitted it to the 3D shop. I ordered a few for testing, but haven't got it yet. As soon as I get it I'll know if it needs revisions or not.

And yes - if it's a success I'll most def post a thread about it. You guys will prob hear the world shake from me doing a happy dance.

lol...I get notifications when they sell....but not to who

The only down side (if they work) is the wait....also the finish is suppose to be a little bit rough from the printing process.

how do they do the silver and stainless ones?

There are options to select what color you want. I think I saw the silver for around $40 or $50

I like the stainless...it kinda has that steampunk look

The stainless would be nice, but to get a decent price there would have to be a lot of them made.

But as them being a little rough around the edges from the printing process, a dremel tool will smooth that out.

This has me a bit worried, bap. People buying it who are not aware it's just a test run right now may think it's good to go as is when I haven't even got my order yet to see if it is good to go or if it needs revisions.

I'd hate to see people waste their money buying this if the frame/cradle is not right. Can you make it not for sale or private or something for now?

I agree....I can make it invisible....I was lazy and didn't think it would be found...but now the cat is out of the bag
