Got half way done with the 18650 version and changed directions.

Not done but here is a sneak peak. It will have two 1300 lipo's. I'm going to shorten the fire button shaft to be even with the edge.

2 1300mAh lipo batts? How did you finagle that?

Well I haven't complety executed the build yet...so maybe I haven't :D

Once the 1300's have been tightened up there is a decent amount of height to work with and just enough on the width to route wires and mount the screen.

But I have a couple of ideas for the screen/wattage buttons I'm thinking about. One of which being to cut out the top of the bottom lid and build a mount for the screen with a center pivot with small tact switches under each side for wattage adjustment. Plus im hoping the bottom facing screen will help please the wife, she doesn't like the 4 minute screen delay at night. She hasn't complained since I broke the screen on my current mod :D

I will say these are the most miserable batteries I have worked with (sky lipo 3s 1300mah 40c-80c burst)....super strength glue and cross hatched crimped on the tabs.

Mamu--do you know of a source for firing buttons like the one on a Silver Bullet--a low-profile, chrome horn-style switch? I've been looking for that style but having no luck...

The one you used in the Lexi is pretty much what I'm looking for. The ones that MadVapes sells are too thick for my taste...

A clone is born. Thanks, Mamu for the ground-breaking work with this and all your mods.:toast:

Powered by a brand new Turnigy Nano-tech 850mAh 25C battery, this mod features all the usual refinements: USB charging with visible status LED, polystyrene view window, and an assertive fire button with a nice clicky feel :D; ok, it's not perfectly centered, but, at least I did not break the screen off this time :p

Little cosmetic tip: for better viewing of the USB charger status LED, fill the small hole you drill next to it with a small drop of hot glue from the inside of the box.

Sweet mod Dr! I love the beefy fire buttons too - gives my finger pressing room.

But thanks go to breaktru and retird - they gave me inspiration to do this mod using the 9v batt box.

The switch I used in Lexi is not low profile... PV5S640SS

Bulgin has silver bullet type switches... Bulgin switches

Or ebay for China clones... Momentary Metal Push Button Switch 16mm

Hey thanks for the info Got a link on where to purchase the 9v Batt Box ?

ok... sad news. The DNA20D is not able to handle vaping at lower ohms and higher watts with a single 26650 IMR or 18650 IMR batt. I get frequent check battery, weak battery, and check atomizer error messages. I can't vape 1.6 ohm at more than 9 watts with a single 26650 or 18650 batt else I keep getting the error messages. bummer. :(

What's strange is that the dual DNA12 can handle 1.6 ohm at higher watts with a single 26650 or 18650 IMR batt.
