SciFi fans do this, I think we should copy it: Spend $2 bills, ESPECIALLY for tips (and ALWAYS TIP!) when going to vape bashes.

For ECC, I didn't realize I needed a week's notice, so I got dollar coins.

The intent is to make it clear to local hotel, restaurant, and convention authorities how much money we brought into the area. The effect is magnified by tips because tip recipients may well spend it directly instead of sending it straight to the bank.

Leaving a really good impression on hotel and restaurant people in the area starts gossip, and also hotels have their OWN blogs and ratings systems, and they rate conventions for desirability.

We do this a fair amount with our Geocaching travels. You should see some of the responses we get from some of America's youth when we hand them $2.00 bills... We have had some refuse to accept and even threaten to call law enforcement. All in all it can be an educational and fun experience. Now if you went a step further an took a where's george approach and we geolocated every bill that was used for a vape purchase that could be some interesting 6 degrees of vaping stats.

Not sure what you mean about geolocating every bill used for a vape purchase.

I do feel bad about the dollar coins, though. We'll do them this time but they are heavy, will probably get my luggage searched (they look like a 26500 if there were such a thing), and so it's probably really rude to leave a $10 tip of dollar coins where we might go ahead and do it with $2 bills.

Oh, well NEXT time we need to think of it a week in advance, that's the delay time to get the bills, at least in my area where they are used during Chinese New Year apparently......
