So glad I didn't hear one of those ads because I am a sucker for stuff like that. I actually saw an ad for some e cigs on facebook(its name is one of the colors of the American flag that is not red or white) and they have turned out to be okay especially as a starter for me however I am moving on and I am going to keep my not red or white cig as a back up.

I ordered one of those without thinking (it is totaly not like me) because my friend sent me a link - she is in the marketing. After (!) that I wanted more info but couldn't get it from that site so I googled e-cig and got this forum, and what did I see first? - Do Not Order "Free Trials"!!! Gooooood lesson! So I called and cancelled order within 2 hours.
Lucky me! There is no charge on credit card.

Now I happily order stuff from Forum Suppliers.

Thanks for the info! I too began searching for e-cig info and was immediately taken to one of the 'free' offers - had I not read the fine print, I would have been dupped for sure!

There are plenty of honest, reliable e-cig companies. Several of which I use on a regular basis. I'm in small town TN and am amazed that e-cigs aren't more popular. I have vowed to do my part in making them become well known! Sure would hate for someone's 1st experience to turn out like this.

I use Firefox as my browser and have WOT - Safe Browsing Tool plug-in installed. I think I'll start browsing for these free sites and put an alert in WOT for those others who have that plug-in installed.

It was the second of those (advertising on my local radio) that got me to this forum. I'm afraid I've been exposed to far too many scams to fall for them anymore - the ad intrigued me, though. So I just went and searched for that company + scam. And ended up here.

Thanks to all here, I've found a couple of very good companies to spend my (despite my love of trying new flavors) less-than-cigarette prices money on.

I need to get one of those sig things. Broke even the first week.

I haven't heard the radio ad. Is there some place to listen to it online? If not, what do they say?

And I thought that it was illegal to advertise tobacco products on TV or on the radio in the USA ?

how true...not like the old days where people actually gave you free stuff to sway you to their product... go the the local fair and get sample bags of free stuff....hahahaha not anymore, they sell you samples now...jeez life is turning grand..

I hate the "free" word in sales. Like buy 1 get one free. that is not FREE than. Do the math, it's HALF PRICE. So many mopes out there!

I am so glad that I didn't get sucked into one of those free trials, as I almost did! Whew! (Thankfully, I found this place first!)

There certainly needs to be some laws set concerning these types of companies. Ecigs aren't the only product that these companies push. There are countless others. It is really quite sad how these companies can "legally" get away with this.

I almost got sucked into one of these scams when i first started out. I am glad i didn't after reading this (although some might call Blu Cigs a scam like me the first brand i did end up buying, what a wast of money).

Good thread for new people just getting into vaping cause there are lots of company's out there trying to sell you there product. And a free trail sounds really good if your not sure if e-cig's will work for you and you don't want to be spending a lot of money just to try something out that you might not like or that might not work (like those crappy Blu Cigs that i wasted my money on).

besides- many of the really great/reputable ecigarette brands out there offer 30 satisfaction guarantees anyway- and i've been ordering from greensmoke for a little over 6 months now and I ALWAYS get my shipment within like...3-5 days, which is pretty rad.
