I've purchased 7 or 8 ecig start kits for $7.99 or $9.99 each, and they have been awesome. Just never use your real name, or any real information except for your address.

I have found the direct ecigs start off strong, but end really weak.

The knight sticks I got started ok, and just kept ok.

DirectEcig's are 901's, and knight sticks are 510s.

Make sure if you order from a "free" trial site, you pay with a virtual credit and close it after paying the s&h.

just my $.02

I use TrashMail - Disposable email addresses. You can use either their website or download the plugin for Firefox (which is the way I use it).

Change the address in the "New disposable email address:" box to something that makes sense to you such as "xxxxx (company name) order (xxxxorder) and you'll know exactly where that address was used when you need to trace it.
Then it expires after xx number of emails or yy number of weeks. Then don't worry about it any more.

It's just a forwarding service, so you have the email sent to any other "real" address you want to.

Thank you HighPing!

I'm new to "vaping" or "vaporing" (someone please help me out with the right terminology here!) and didn't know this practice was in this product line as well. I've seen companies in other industries do this same thing, which isn't fair at all to those companies doing this for convenience!

Any time you buy things by phone or online, its a good practice to Google the companies' URLs, names and add words like "scam", "rip off" etc. to the search. If you see complaints, then buy from somewhere else!

Also, before giving your credit card info to a "new" company, might be best to order by money order, or those pre=paid credit-like cards you can get at grocery stores and drug stores. Only put enough money on the card to cover what you are buying thus they have none of your bank info! This way, if they try to keep billing the card, it will simply be denied. There is a small fee for this, yet it may save you a ton of hassle, or worse a cleaned out bank account or ongoing charges.

If any company says they don't accept "those debit cards", like the Visa or Mastercard pre-paid cards, order elsewhere!

Thank for the tip!!! I've seen this with many, many online and especially TV ad companies! Sad, but best to protect yourself out there!

Good advice, a total scam. Apart from the many good reasons you give to avoid these "free trials" you only get 10-14 days to get it back to them before they charge you for it. So in reality you have to send it back almost as it arrives. I imagine a few people have been charged whilst it was on the way back to the company.
