Do you clean or just rebuild?

I was about to clean my vivi nova head and decided just to make a new coil. Do you guys find yourself doing the same? Just cut the middle man and start fresh. Of course this just doesn't apply to the vivi nova. The phoenix, pene, fatty, iatty etc as well. I'm still not sure how the genisis works so I don't know if this question applies.

I do clean mine, usually after each tank. Clean and dry burn, dry wicks with a hair dryer, takes less than 5 minutes and keeps it working flawlessly. Most of my coils have outlasted my wicks, usually more than a month. I do rebuild my heads when they finally go bad.

I think I may try this. Cleaning after every single tank makes sense. I just get lazy during the week, when I'm working 10 hour shifts heh. So I usually do like 4 fills without any thought to give it a clean.

You might split the difference and do it after every two tanks. You would most likely get good results from that. Every tank might be excessive, but it's become habitual for me so it doesn't seem that bad.

Good times. I appreciate the advice.

The first few months of my vaping were exclusively dedicated to boges in carto tanks. Since bogegate hit I've been seeking out alternatives and rebuilding has been very rewarding. A great extention to the hobby I must say.

I'm with you on that. My Phiniac has been idle for months. Novas are just more hassle free, and cost effective for me.

Tell me about it, and I actually have a custom Phiniac of Butters. Maybe down the line boge will get their act together again.

Oh, hamburgers!

That's awesome, Butters is my second favorite South Park character right after Cartman. Their interactions are hilarious.
Ikenvape has their cartos back in stock, you might want to check them out. I've had good luck with them. I'm going to pick up a couple boxes. Those Phiniacs are just too expensive and pretty to leave sitting around.

Sweet,

Those 510 platinum lines look promising. I'll definitely give them a go in the future.

I've been rebuilding my VNs but the other night I tried cleaning and dry burning (stock silica wick) but it popped. I've got a bunch of the older boges and have found myself migrating back to them because they're just so much easier, especially when I'm not at home. My son and I have been out camping the last 3 wkends and I've got 2 boges in tanks that has gone with me all 3 times. Rebuilding/recoiling is something I don't mind doing here at my desk but not on the road. Practice hasn't really made perfect for me either... I had better luck with rebuilding back when I first started! With cotton wicks, you can't do any dry burns so rebuilding is all I can do.

Maybe I am cleaning incorrectly, but I have found that even after my first cleaning, the vape just doesn't seem the same.

Same here... I used to try to clean my cartos, but for the vast majority, it just wasn't worth it. For every one that was worth it, there were 10 more than weren't.

I clean/dry burn my Penelopes every few tanks then rebuild when it's really bad or every couple weeks. Works great.

With the vivi nova do you replace the coil, or rebuild it. Looking at the info it seems not to be rebuildable, but coil replaceable?
