Is there a vid on how to use my thingy? Lmao. I'm new to carto tanks.

Mini, I could help you fiddle your thingy but there is a certain protocol and decorum to it... complicated stuff and you have to sign waivers and all ;)

I kid really, all you need to do is put a full tank with a fresh carto that has not been primed yet into the thingy and put the lid on and take it off. Do this several times (maybe 15?) until about 1/3 of a 19mm tank has gone into the carto. Each time you put the lid on you will see air bubbles, any time air goes into a tank liquid goes into the carto.

One thing I have noticed is a brisk action when fiddlin your thingy is much more productive.

Yes, the size of thingys is such that you can only store a tank in them sans tip.

Whats going on is the air pressure in the thingy increases as the lid goes on. This increase in pressure equalizes with the pressure in the tank by pushing some air in that you see as the bubbles rising in the tank. When you remove the lid pressure goes back to atmospheric so the tank pressure is greater than the outside pressure, the only thing that can happen is some juice is displaced into the carto until everything once again equalizes.

I have noticed elevation changes can kind of muck with a tank setup. We live at about 3k feet elevation and have a mile high pass near us we cross quite often. Going over the pass if you have a low tank (lots of air in it) it will tend to flood but by the time you get to the bottom of the other side it fixes itself most times. I try to top off the tank if we are heading that way.

OCD, I didn't know you had a thread here on ECF. Anyhow, I wanted to thank you for the tanks for my DIDs. Only one of my DIDs has a glass tank on it b/c I broke one of the tanks b/c I didn't lube up the o-rings, which was do to my stupidity. It really looks amazing! I plan to order a couple more in the future, possibly colored ones. BTW, I emailed you about ends, asking if they are sharp at all, and like you said they are smooth as a baby's bottom!

Glad you mentioned that post, Aurora - I'd missed it completely somehow LOL

Ya know, I missed it too for a few days I think, and I often read this thread to see all the new sexy tank pics!

Good luck to us all for the next round! :)

Courtesy of random.org 257 was chosen as the number between 249 and 318 and wouldnt you know it that was one of my posts so I went to the next one in line 258 which was MayLovesMetal congrats May and I will send you a PM directly for address information on where to send this beauty off to. Its a big tank I hope you have a big batt mod for it.

Will get another together soon but lets just say the posts from this one will all be included in the next giveaway. I think I have scheduled time for breathing tomorrow so we will dig something up for a prize.

Congrats MayLovesMetal, that sure is a sexy tank! And thanks again OCD, awesome glass-work you do!

I'm in for the next drawing, thank you for doing again so quickly! I'd love to win something in blue :) :toast:

Hurrah! I can't wait to fiddle with my new thingy, and I do indeed have a big fat battery to stick it on. I have the tissues lined up in anticipation. =)
I can't think of much nicer of a thing to win, and from nice people too.

Yeah you got to lube those orings up Scott, I just use the liquid I am vaping... couple drops on a qtip and run it around them. On the carto tanks I notice that after a short period of time its like the lube juice is squeezed out and the orings set in place which is nice because it helps provide that grip for when you pull your device out of a pocket by the tank.

We also started beveling the inside of the glass tubes slightly which should help a little in getting the orings started. Its an extra step but we are always looking to do anything we can to make our tanks even better.

Congrats again May, good to hear you have a dive lined up for this tanke. It really is a nice tank but the 25mm is 1" so on smaller devices it will look a little large. I am vaping a 30mm tank I am working on using it on a Bombshell Stinger 2665 mod and it looks great on it.

Aurora, blue may very well be the next item up for grabs.

I heard about the beveled tanks. Will it be an option for the DID tanks in the future?

Aurora, I was taught if the job isnt worth doin right dont do it at all. To me right just means as best I can so as I am able to improve I do. There is also the ever present value side of things, its a sad fact but I have to measure everything I do by the minute and I want to always make sure what we offer is also the best value so I am always tryin to figure out ways to do things better and faster.

Elmattias, Dino the guy who sells the LavaTank and LavaGen has sent me one of his own personal LavaGens that I am waiting on in the mail. I have already got in a couple of glass sizes I think might work so it should be pretty soon. As I understand it the LavaGen is a drop in for the LavaTank so the same glass will work for both other than the Gen needs a hole in it. I am hoping we will be able to offer the choice of 1.0 1.25 and 1.5mm holes to fit the preference of varied tastes.

Scott, the beveled option for the DuD which is the import version of Jim's DID Mini is there because the glass is much thicker than the stock tank. Jim's Mini will be the same (we supply mmvapor with their glass) only there will not be an option without the bevel because I think it really adds to the look and anyone paying for a premium piece of kit like Jim makes will not be worrying about a few dollars for a bevel. No need to Bevel the glass for the DID and DID Short as the glass is the same outside diameter as the device. I just got another gift from Jim in the mail today, looks like more surprises in the works from mmvapors ;)

We have many devices we will be adding glass for soon, just got glass in for the Hellfire Mini that a customer has asked us for and will be verifying fit on that soon. My goal is to add tubes for anything and everything making them in stock and easy on the pocket to get. Our exposure is quite limited right now as we are small. I have said it many times, we are just getting started and there will be loads of innovative things coming from us simply because we have a solid work ethic, know the value of a dollar and hold folks in respect. Toss into that a touch of crazy OCD and anything might happen ;)

That's a great business ethic, which I'm sure easily carried right over into your hobbies as well! Fits the OCD name too :)

All that comes so much easier too when your job/hobby is something you personally enjoy, which I'm sure you enjoy everything vaping and selling tanks, ect probably except for the sometimes hectic busy days. But you know when the product is something you like, then your customers will surely like it as well, so improvements can only better things for everyone.

Keep up the great work, love your style! :toast:

I can only imagine what it is, maybe his new APV. If it is I'm super jealous! Jim is a really great guy! He really bends over backwards for people. I was a bit upset when I saw the clones coming out b/c I felt Jim was being ripped off. I don't own any of clones, but from what I've seen on pics, Jim's stuff has much better quality and design.

Thanks Aurora, this is very much in how we were brought up. Tiy get it so I can only imagine you were probably brought up the same. Yes it can be a bit of drag at times when it gets monotonous making a million of the same thing but I am slowly getting more help with that. My thing is that crazy brain twitch that is always looking at the same thing from four different angles. It has been a burden at times... oh something shiny... but for the most part has always worked out very well.

Scott, there is no comparison between mmvapors wares and the knockoffs. Anyone seriously interested in RBAs will eventually find the quality. For me though I dont see the copycat introductions as being detrimental to those who make the original high quality devices and support them. Just the opposite in fact, can you just imagine how many people have found RBAs to be their thing after buying a $25 knockoff? Now think of how many of those people would be willing to purchase a premium device after they found they like them. Sure there will always be folks that want the absolute cheapest they can find and thats fine but then there are a good many who dont have quite so much concern about the $ and want to know it is all Stainless rather than some unknown metal, chromed with more unknowns in the very cheapest way it can possibly be done.

My bet is that the infusion of cheap RBAs has been nothing but good for the makers of quality devices. For me I own a ton of the clones, I have to but I dont use them other than to fit glass for them because thats what folks want along with glass for the Orion, the Hellfire, the Zens and everything else. Theres a lot of folks in this big world and you know what they about different strokes. I am a die hard carto fool myself, not that I wont use something else from time to time because I think change is one of the great benefits of vaping, it keeps things fresh but for the last year my all day has been a carto tank.

Then there is the other side of what you mentioned, Jim really is one of the good ones. We have had a great relationship already and we have only begun in this journey.

For sure, I was brought up very much the same way!

And I'm a perfectionist myself too, so I fully understand how you'd want every little thing to be exactly perfect. Meaning any small improvement that comes to light that would better the product, then that's what MUST be done ASAP :) Sometimes I hate that about myself, especially when it holds me back while trying to get something finished, but I know in the end it always pays off.
