The other smokers in the building either ask, or completely ignore me. (I've come to the conclusion it's because they KNOW what it is and want not part of it :p.) The non-smokers look at me sideways and give me a wide berth. Most of the people in my office are super excited for me. I work in a doctor's office and got high praise from the doctor's in there I respect. I've got three other smokers in my office looking at this site and some recommended starter kits right now. =)

I was at a Political fundraiser the other nite for a local Guy that's running for a County Commissioner's seat and one of our State Representatives was there to show his support. I made a bee-line over to where he was and started vaping by him...just waiting...

Eventually, in between shaking babies & kissing hands; curiosity got the better of him. I gave him an earful and as much info as I could about it and ended by saying "So remember, when the Anti's and Big T come crying about e-cigs and spreading all the "anti-freeze" lies etc. etc. YOU KNOW BETTER! I'll expect you to make to make informed decisions regarding your vaping constituents!" He thanked me for the info and seemed sincere about it. I guess we'll see.

I get curious looks. A couple cops have asked to take a look at it to make sure I wasn't getting high. Usually once I explain what it is, people are put at ease. However, on my lunch break I was in Subway today, and while in line took a toot. The manager told me that I couldn't smoke in the store, I explained what it was that it was just water vapor, and she proceeded to tell me that I still couldn't. Righteous indignation took over and I told her that it was completely legal to vape in public places and indoors. She told me she was going to have to check into it, and I told her to let me know how that worked out for her. I think there's still room for manners and public perception, and I could have handled the situation better, however I enjoyed blowing a cloud of vapor in the store right before I left....

I hope there are very few vapers like you out there!!! We should respect peoples rights not to vape where they don't want us to! It's NOT just water vapor! Just because we can does not mean we should! We want people to support us not dislike us!

I said I could have handled it better, and that there was a place for manners and public perception. Tell you what, stop being a sanctimonious p****, and I'll release my self imposed moment of righteous indignation. Either that or read an entire post before you respond.

I've had all sorts of responses. Some are keen to the whole vaping thing. Others have asked me if its a hooka. I did have someone tell me they would never use an e-cig "because people put their weed in there".

I informed said person, its not that kind of party. The PV they're talking about is entirely different and showed them via Google.

I'm a bus operator, I usually have a few puffs between runs. Every day I get someone who is interested or curious. a couple of the other drivers jest about my crack pipe ;) it is unusual looking. but it is innocent.
One time I was Down wind of a group of people. then that group broke up and dispersed. as one pair walked towards me (Still up wind of me) The lady did a Cough suggesting my vaping was the cause(obviously she did not know I was Vaping, she saw vapour and thought smoke) and that cough was followed by a Stare that Showed me what type of person she was.
I had a bit of outrage going on(and kept it clean with a Persistent Stair suggesting I can see her and Was watching ). pre-judgmental
, lying, Hypochondriac she was.

Bryce.
