So, I (finally) got the following tank from fasttech in the mail the other day:

$3.08 DCT Electronic Cigarettes Round Mouth Dual Heating Core Atomizer (Large) - black at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

...and I waited until last night to try it out. I filled up the included carto just like all the youtube videos told me to, and poured some juice into the tank and went to bed. I woke up today to find that the cart had spent the night vomiting juice out the hole in its connector.
It got tossed in the trash and I went off to work. When I got back, intending to dig it out and measure it, I found my roommate had taken out the garbage. Bye-bye carto!

So, I'm turning to you, new friends! Do any of you use this tank, and if so with what other cartos?
Someone on the fasttech page suggests that Boge F16s work for him, but based on this image:
F16-2.jpg

I'm inclined to think it's the F17 that I should get.

Other quick notes that I recall about the original Carto:
1. It was flanged.
2. It had a 510 connector.

Thoughts?

sounds like the carto had too many holes or to big of holes for the viscosity of your juice

i started out with cartos then decided i needed a tank, went with a dct running dual coil cartos triple punched and flanged from smoktek, I've since moved on to rbas, protanks on my provari and ce5s for my mini ego

you could have ordered new carto instead of tossing it to trash :S
You never know when you would need spare parts

You're totally right Deniz, but it was early and I was ...... off and what's done is done. Live and learn, right?

I use the Boge LR (2.0 ohm) 510 pre punched cartos, they are like $7 at local B&M. I prime it and slip it into a J-Tank

BigLebowski, are you using the F16s or the F17s? or are they not labelled like when you buy them?

I use the F16/F17 tanks I have both sizes, I use the F16 cartomizer refills for other tanks as well. They're Boge, and they're flanged. They work just fine for me but you're dealing with FastTech and you could be getting a clone?! -- I just looked at the link you posted. Those aren't genuine Boge, they're clones. FastTech page doesn't say Boge on it anywhere, and the real Boge F16 sized tank doesn't have beveled end caps, the one in that picture does. -- And the flange isn't clipped to allow locking, F16 cartos have the flange clipped.

Haven't used the boge tanks but they should say whether they use standard or XL cartos.

I have the smaller version of this tank (DCT 3ml dual-coil), also purchased from FT. It's the one and only carto/tank set-up I've used. I've had it for awhile now but only use it periodically as I prefer my T2. I've only used the carto that came with it - with the two oblong holes. It seems to work fine, I've only had one minor flooding/gurgling issue when I first filled it, and no leaks. Only other thing is the taste seems a little harsh. Not really too much TH but more harshness on the throat (if that makes any sense).

I was also wondering about replacement cartos for it because of the oblong holes. Most of the cartos I see just have small pre-punched round holes in them and I wasn't sure if they would work as well or work better or what. I know a lot of people say that FT stuff is of lesser quality but since this is the only carto/tank I've used I can't make any comparisons.

Not sure what I'll do when this carto craps out. It's the only one I have. Might try single coil cartos at that point.

I'm in the same boat. The included carto was the only one I've had so far, but I'm ok with the idea of going to single coil, especially if I can get some low resistance ones.
