I admit, I didn't read the whole thread either, before I posted. I see a number of people may have rec' the Ego/Riva/Hello size w/306. It really IS a good alternative and first step (into the world of mods ;))

Regarding name brand vs generic; I have both the Ego and the Riva and have found no difference. They can both be swapped out with the various parts (ie: 510, etc). The 306 can also be purchased as a Volcano or a Blu. The blu kits/parts are easy to p/up in the classifieds (as so many people have bashed them, they are now almost given away for free.. any yes, it's the same atty). You can purchase either the blu atty or the Volcano from their prospective websites for about 1/2 the price of a 306. Then, guess what, you now have the convienent option of trying the blu carts. Granted, they aren't the tastiest around, but they are Oh-so-easy. The menthol isn't half bad.

I can't compare any of them to the Hello16. I *think* it may operate entirely different. The battery may be the same size, but it works with a 'conamizer', which I have seen. Strange little contraption. You will have to ask how these interchange with the PV equipment you have now.

Oh> personally, I do not care for the LR 510 attys. I didn't like the taste. I do like the LR801, and am waiting to try the LR901 next!

Best of luck!

I'm a little late for the party but:

#1 Fistpack @5v with GG AFS V2, Cartomizers or 901 Atties
#2 GGTS with AFS at 6v or 7.4 with Cartos or 3.7v with LR atties
#3 Chuck with AFS at 6v with cartos or 3.7 with LR atties.
#3 Reo with LR 510 at 3.7v
#4 Little Chuck with cartos or AFS and LR atties.

On the LR thing.. I have a real problem keeping HV atties alive. When used with care (i.e. not attystomping) I get really decent life out of them, a few weeks which is an eternity for me.

Thanks!

From what I've seen, only LiteCig USA had them "just" with the cone attys. Other sites said they work with standard 510 supplies.

An eGo style (riva, hello, tornado etc) is a great affordable choice for solid 3.7 volt vaping with good battery life.

I love my eGo , Screwdriver MKII and Wet Box for tooling around. The wet box is selfcontained and you wont have to bring an extra juice bottle to refill. They both are really affordable.

I use my Precious and Silver Bullet at home.

My 5 volt passthrough is at work (cheapo 510 from Vapor Kings but works good).

After reading through this entire thread.....

Is there a list of who sells what? Ie: I read about a certain model or mod, but then have to search through threads to find links to whomever sells them.

If there isn't a list, there outta be! :)

It could look like this:

Model/Mod----link to seller(s)------link to reviews

Electronic Cigarette Mods | e-Cig Mod Reviews and Comparison

Those are all of the mods but of course there are more vendors that carry them than listed.

I've got an eGo, 510, SB and the REO.

Hand down, the REO is my only mod anymore. After 3 weeks, it never leaves my hand. Fill the 6ml bottle (very easy), pop in an 18650 or 2 CR123's and I'm good for at least a day. Best of all, no maintenance!

I can now leave the house with nothing more than maybe a spare atty and be gone all day or overnight. No problems, no hassles. The thing will run any Atty or Carto.

Sorry to maybe come off as a fanboi, but, it totally changed and simplified my Vaping life.

The Hello 016 is a great battery although I've had one switch go bad. You have to be careful because some stick. I wouldn't go with the kit because you really don't need the conamizer if you are going to use cartomizers or regular 510 atomizers. The cone is permanently attached to atomizer and they are more expensive to replace. I use a lr 510 atty and it works good. I like the 801 lr atty best but you have to use an adapter and it makes the unit a little long. The 1300 mah battery lasts all day and and only takes a few hours to recharge with the 5 amp charger.

OK, all - thank you to all of you for your invaluable help!! I pulled the trigger and got an H16 starter kit, 2 extra H16 batteries, 3 LR 510 attys and 2 drip tips!! ($105 w/free shipping at DigitalCiggz.com) I can't wait until they get here! :D

Thank you so much!!!

Congrats for taking the plunge! :D I have heard great things about the Hello, and know a few people that rave about them :)

Wet boxes are too cool! A little crude internally but still very cool!

I had my hands on one for a short time - looking to see if they would fit in my cases for a customer, but the switch makes it too wide - my husband saw it and got the "mod bug" LOL!

I know, right? That's why I was trying to get people to post links to their #1 picks!

The cone is permanently attached to atomizer and they are more expensive to replace. I use a lr 510 atty and it works good.

Actually, the vendor I bought from (digitalciggz.com) has a basic kit that comes with a 510 atty and not the cone atty. That was good, since I didn't want the cone atty and I was ordering 510 LR attys anyhow.

The other vendors I checked out were more expensive - they included 5-10 pre0filled carts, but I didn't want those, so it didn't make sense to buy those kits. I can't imagine that too many newbies buy these devices, so they probably already have their liquids/carts. Seems more logical to not include pre-filled carts and give a cheaper price to someone looking to upgrade? I don't know - i'm probably way off base and it's just me!

Congrats for taking the plunge! :D I have heard great things about the Hello, and know a few people that rave about them :)

OK, so you won't be needing pics of the eGo and the Hello side by side, then? I will be taking them tomorrow afternoon. :) Congratulations on your new PV! I hope you love it!! :)

Thanks, ladies! now I'm in that exclusive club for the first time - waiting impatiently at my mailbox! LOL!

Thanks for the offer, Bianca! You guys did such a good job describing them that I was able to pull the trigger! (And after switching out my 510 batts 10 times today, I was READY, lol!!)

Thanks again for everyone's help! Maybe this thread will help other people looking to move up in the PV world! ;)
