Do you think it's okay for non-smokers to start vaping?

As many of you know I used vaping as a way to kick smoking. ( I was a smoker for 7+ years) but this weekend I was at a bar with my sister who never smoked and she tried my ecig and liked it a lot and wants to start vaping now. I know vaping is much better for you than smoking but I don't know, I'm a little confounded. Did any of you never smoke and only vape?

I did smoke, but very little. I was a 1-2 analog per day smoker for about a month before quitting cold turkey (ex-fiance gave me an ultimatum). After that it was maybe an analog once every few months, socially. Haven't had one in over a year but I've only been vaping a couple months. I use it more as a stress reliever, as it helps me relax and not do the extremely harmful things I used to do when stressed.

My S.O. was never a smoker, but since I've transitioned from smoking to vaping, she's joined me with 0 nic flavors. She generally only uses her mods (Vision Spinner or a Kamry pipe mod) when she thinks she's hungry late in the evening. She'd seen The Doctors talk about vaping as a deterrent to random snacking. Neither of us tends to snack at night as much anymore (I pretty much chain-vape when I get home from work LOL) I'm not claiming this as any form of weight-loss initiative, but she's lost about 10 lbs since February (she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis two years ago, and her mobility can often be limited, depending on how the MS affects her on any given day. We try to get to the gym, but sometimes that just isn't feasible.)

Long-winded story short, I personally have no reservations about someone (of legal age) picking up vaping - plenty of great flavors out there, and no need for nic.

Awesome! Thanks. I was just wondering a little because I used vaping as a way to stop smoking

Many of us here started smoking for some (usually stupid) reason or another--and, I suspect, there are still people around who would continue to start smoking for some (usually stupid) reason. I think it a better alternative for them to vape (assuming 18+ and 0 nic) than to start smoking. I certainly would not suggest it, but if they were to decide to anyway...?

I never really smoked that much (in my opinion) and so it doesn't bother me when people pick up vaping. It's better than smoking, without a doubt, and it can be a social thing as much as smoking can be. Hell, I don't even care if people stick to no nicotine. Obviously they shouldn't jump into 24 mg but if someone was going to start smoking, they probably wouldn't start with light cigarettes, you know? Idk, just my two cents.
