Do you think it's okay for non-smokers to start vaping?

vaping, sure. Why not? I wouldn't advise starting a nic habit if you don't already have one though.
This raises an interesting question: in and of itself, how addictive is nicotine? One of my friends quit smoking about a year back, vut he takes the occasional puff from my mod. He likes the slight nicotine bump, but he doesn't feel any craving after it wears off.

It makes me wonder if it's not so much the nicotine as it is the eleventy billion other things that are in tobacco.

I've read some of the studies (probably not all) and I honestly think it's both. Nicotine is addictive. Nicotine mixed with the other things in tobacco plus the corporate additives is uber addictive. Different people's bodies react differently to addictive substances. Some people can be social cigarette smokers without ever developing an addiction, others smoke 2 PAD and struggle for years to quit. Individual choice, but not knowing how your individual brain and body is going to respond no, I wouldn't advise someone who doesn't use nicotine to get juice with nic. That's just me tho.

I have a question for people who say it doesn't make sense: would you say the same about someone who started smoking?
Absolutely! Can't understand how anyone would start smoking today with everything we know about it and all the restrictions on where one can smoke. Smokers today are practically social pariahs. That doesn't mean I have an issue with smokers or get all up in their business.

If you think it will lead to you picking up the nicotine habit i would say it certainly wouldn't be my choice but i'm not you so choose wisely . Imo if your nicotine free i would say stay that way there's plenty of other things to try out and get involved in.

I wish i was in your shoes but vaping is a big plus for people struggling with regular cigs and is far better, again imo of course . Even if you started with zero nic what the heck for , just sounds like a dumb idea to me.

As long as your sister's of age it's her choice. I mean just think of how you feel at the idea of FDA trying to tell YOU what to do? Sharing DNA doesn't maker her any less human! As a matter of fact if she really likes it she's going to do it anyways and resent you as well as think you are a hypocrite if you give her grief about it, most likely and IMHO.

Nicotine really isn't the "devil" it's been made out to be. It's great that so many vaper's and ex smoker's come out of Big Tobacco and Big Pharma's grips but sad to see how many in the community are still disillusioned by the myths, propaganda and lies!
I think it's ironic how many parents will give their children prescribed "speed" and shake their heads at us "despicable vapers" whom they worry are trying to entice and corrupt their youth, ha! I'd rather my kids pick up vaping on the sly then give them 90% of the prescribed medicines out there.

I could say more but I don't want to run too far off track and I'm saving it for a blog. I will say this though. I do have 3 nephews and 1 niece all in the same family who take ADHD medicine, which I don't agree with mind you. However there being on it has taught me a lot. During the summer or extended breaks from school they are taken off it. While it takes them a good day or two to adjust, (they don't seem particularly miserable during either), I don't see any substantial negative consequences of them coming off of it and I've talked to the older ones extensively and if it was up to them they wouldn't take their meds.

Now take nicotine, I have a similar experience with it after my initial detox from smoking 2 packs of smokes a day, although without vaping the detox was prolonged and difficult. With vaping MUCH easier especially after the initial week. Now as a vaper only for months if I don't vape it's not crucial at ALL, unlike not being able to smoke for prolonged periods of time. This has opened my eyes along with plenty of research stating that nicotine is NOT the addictive drug it's been made out to be, on par with something that's portrayed as being injected into someone's arm! Remember the old 1950's movies about illicit substances, ("something fish swim and live in" madness!) LOL some of you will get it!

As many of you know I used vaping as a way to kick smoking. ( I was a smoker for 7+ years) but this weekend I was at a bar with my sister who never smoked and she tried my ecig and liked it a lot and wants to start vaping now. I know vaping is much better for you than smoking but I don't know, I'm a little confounded. Did any of you never smoke and only vape?

I will try as best I can to help and encourage smokers to try using vaping as a tool to get off cigs. Non-smokers I will try to discourage from vaping. Vaping is as I see it is a risk reduction tool. When applied to a Non-smoker it becomes a Risk they do not need to add.
All that said, I encouraged my wife, a non-smoker, to try vaping due to my having read a story on the net about PG effects on asthma symptoms. She was having a very bad asthma day and her meds were not providing relief. I had her take a few puffs of my ecig and relief was almost instant. She now vapes a few puffs during a normal day.
So, yes I have encouraged one non-smoker to try vaping, but for cause.
