I am lucky! I can vape anywhere at work: my desk, in meetings, walking around the building, the cafeteria, etc. A few people have asked me not to do it in their personal offices, but other than that I have no problems. I have also been able to successfully convert many colleges here to switch to vaping.
What about you?

Hi,

That's my main reason for not stopped smoking already. We have a smoking area at the office but I don't feel comfortable vaping there and have all the other people looking at me. It's my problem, I know and a have to overcome that.

Only one other guy vape here that i know of and he vapes in the stairs.

you should be proud to vape, and show it off, your a non-smoker and should be super proud of it, so hold ur PV up high and proud

Vaping now, I work EMS, and have 'converted' many after becoming a tobacco free workplace, I love loopholes.
:p
Edit: I don't vape in the truck due to flammable oxygen, don't know if it would ignite or not, but I'm not taking any chances.

i dont think it would blow cause there is no combustion in an e-cig

I vape openly at my desk. Doing it right now as a matter of fact. I do have a little Massey desk fan ($5 or so at Walmart), so the cloud dissipates rather than curling above my cubicle. (Don't want anyone to have the chance to claim a distraction.) I vape in the break room, outside in the smoking area, in the boss's office (he thinks it's awesome that I'm not smoking), in front of the owners (They're trying to convert their brother). I refrain from smoking in meetings just as people refrain from eating etc. in meetings. (Although I have taken a puff on the way in or out. I just try to have a little bit of respect and not put myself in a position where anyone could complain. I've got materials available for anyone interested and have 3 people in the office now vaping at least part time.

i vape at work.
when i was working at the cafe, i'd vape outside most of the time. however, a lot of the time i was the only one working, and there was no time to step outside. so i would just vape in the back. though i've vaped inside there in plain view when coworkers wanted to try my pv.
when i was working at the venue/bar i would vape both inside and outside. no big deal. they allow vaping.
when i was at the organic grocery store i'd step outside most of the time. however when it was -30C, i vaped in the break room while first asking the people in there if it was ok. i don't think anyone told the store manager, and i'm not sure if he knew.
i vape at my current job as well. i vape outdoors most of the time, unless the man i work for is asleep then i will vape inside. when i'm at the offices of my current job i can freely vape indoors, and in meetings.
it's all pretty awesome. i listed a few jobs because when i started vaping and posting on this forum i went from holding one job, to four jobs, now i'm down to one again.

I get around
I work at a warehouse club, a couple of the managers (ex-smokers) told me that I wasn't permitted to do so. I politely informed them that I had called our main HR office, informed them about me not smoking anymore and using a PV, and requested any documentation about any policy regarding my situation. The lady congratulated me on improving my health and informed me that there was no policy against vaping unless I would work in Seattle(they have a indoor ban), she just asked me not to do it while the warehouse is open so the members don't freak out, then she let me know that she was using a LT while we were talking!!!

I started vaping while working as a government contractor. Everybody was fine with it except one stubborn guy, who happened to be in a position over me. I vaped on the worksite except around him. There were 20-100 people in the motorpools, from civilians to Colnels to privates and everything in between. No problem.

However, I can't remember if it was Ft. Hood or Ft. Bragg but at one of those places since my last visit they banned soldiers from vaping inside the motorpools and they have to go out to the smoking areas. I believe the reasoning behind it has something to do with the heating element.

This is something I need to over come myself. I vape at work when no one is watching or sneak off in a corner somewhere. I left my ego twist with a j tank on it ( looks kinda crazy to someone who has never seen an e cig) in the break room the other day and my boss seen it. She picked it up and was asking who it belongs to. The look she had on her face when I told her it was mine was horrible. She looked at me like I was a drug user or something. Some people are small minded and will think whatever they want no matter what you say. In public its a different story. I could careless what people think when they see me Vaping when I'm out somewhere. I feel differently at work, I have to deal with my co workers Everyday so it's a little harder to just whip out my ego and start Vaping.
