yeah i just learned how to make smoke rings... cant stop now.

I never wanted to keep the smoke in my lungs for that long with analogs.

Seriously. I blow smoke rings all the time. I never could do it before because I always had to smoke outside. But yeah I vape way more then I smoked. I need to cut down.

Is there any real risk, other than OD'ing or becoming more addicted to nicotine ?

I figure I'd feel the symptoms of too much nicotine before I could overdose on the stuff, and I'm not overly concerned about being addicted to the stuff, other than the fact that I'm in Australia and have to order internationally to get my juice. I'm more worried about the impending possibility of a ban in the UK.

I have heard (from something leaford posted on one of his vids) about arteries hardening or something like that from nicotine use, but that's the only place I've seen that mentioned.

I'm not sure about everyone else, but I personally don't get as intense of a nicotine buzz from vaping as I did from smoking. Even counting that I do it more now.

Personally I think most of us are vaping more from something like a "placebo effect" which is entirely appropriate since juice is practically sugar water lol. Some of it is nicotine, the other portion is knowing this is different and knowing it to be healthier than the alternative (no more rat poison, tar, etc).

The ability to mix and make lower concentrations of nicotine should encourage you to lower your addiction level. You have more control NOW than you did before over what your bad habit consists of.

I for one am happy about a bad habit for the first time in my life, lol

I vaped alot at first, mainly because I was trying 1000 different flavors. After a few months now though, I notice that i'm not craving a puff off my PV like I used to crave analogs. If i'm busy, sometimes I go a few hours and FORGET to vape. Interesting. But now that im using a HV device and it burns more liquid. So it's stayed around 3-4ml a day.

I vape WAY more than I smoked.......BUT the thing with me is.....I can go a much LONGER time without vaping than I could smoking without feeling like I was going crazy. As much as I LOVE vaping, I don't feel they are as addictive as analogs. I only vape when I'm sitting....If I don't sit for three hours, I don't even vape....If I were smoking analogs, that would not be the case.

I used to smoke quite a bit, I even used to have an analog while I was in the shower!

Hmmm I'm curious, how do you smoke a cigarette while showering?

I find I vape more than I smoked. I can do it indoors and it's very convenient. Also it tastes good and I don't get that racing heart feeling. At first I think I was getting too much nicotine because felt a bit funny, plus I had this weird twitching around my ribcage. I must have got used to the new nicotine levels, but I should try a lower level.

Well, from what i've been reading above, I guess I could be called an 'amateur' vaper;)... the only way I start 'chain vaping' is if I'm hanging out with friens, having a few drinks (that's the same way it used to be with analogs anyway, so I don't really care:D) Other than that, I treat the e-cig in much the same way I used to treat analogs: vape a 'cigarette' (10-12 puffs) and shove it in my shirt pocket, to be forgotten for the next hour or so... I use 16mg juice, BTW. No wonder the same old 10ml bottle will be around for at least eight days! I do, however, vape a little more at home, because now I don't have to go outside! I bet you all know how cool it is to have a 'smoke' or two, while enjoying a movie, laying in your bed:cool:? Well, I didn't:cry: - before the e-cig came along.
Come to think of that, I used to be an amateur smoker, too - about 10-15 cigarettes a day. So, all in all, this e-cig thing has been a really great experience:thumbs:

Not long after I first started ecigs I ordered some 36mg and started vaping away as usual. Before I knew it I was busting out in sweats and feeling really sick. It's not the same feeling as analogs, but your body is still absorbing tons of nicotine - so be careful and pay attention to how often you use it. Instead of ramping up to satisfy cravings more - try to maintain the same amount and not overdo it. Since you're not worried about health risks it's really easy to get carried away with it. When I got sick from 36mg I realized what I was doing to my body.

I vape far more than I ever smoked(pack a day). Have been off analogs for over 3 months and odd thing is I haven't craved analogs at all up until a couple of weeks ago. At a party, drinking copious amounts of beer(I'm canadian eh?).

Then yesterday while working outside I could smell my neighbor's smoke from two doors over and just about went over to beg for one from her. Luckily I had double 510s fully loaded(One no nic, one with 24mg) that quickly squashed the urge. I thought I was completely done with analogs but these cravings return out of nowhere.

I hope I have no more cravings for analogs because I forgot how powerful they can be and I didn't like it much.

Waterdoctor, keep resisting the temptation. Because analogs hurt me so much I now get sick just seeing someone smoke. That's the truth. It just gives me a little nausea. Yes, just keep resisting and that little devil will flee from you. :D

Yea, I vape more than I smoked. But like others here have said, I don't 'think' about it as much and can actually forget to vape. I do think it's an oral fixation, like a baby pacifier, but with no mama to take it away. :)

I answered 170 puffs per day in the CASAA survey, but on second thought, I'd put it closer to 250 per day. About 2 ML per day is where I am right now. Analogs I smoked 25 per day at about 8 puffs per, or 200 puffs a day. So I guess I vape more than I smoked. However, I somehow doubt that I am getting quite as much nic as I did from analogs, even with 24 mg juice.
